Job Performance Requirements (JPR’s) needed for the Auxiliary Firefighter to be

permitted to be issued a pager and to begin attending Emergency Response Incidents

as apprentice firefighters under the close supervision and direction of a Fire Department

Officer.

These identified JPR’s will primarily be captured during regular training sessions on the

practice night for each station. Each stations District Chief and Training Officers may

also schedule additional training sessions to focus on the completion of the identified

JPR’s at their discretion during the identified orientation period.

The overarching goal of this orientation period is to have all the Auxiliary Firefighters

“pager” ready for September 01, 2021.

2. NFPA 1001 FIREFIGHTER – THEORY

All NFPA theoretical training will be captured using the virtual training modules

contained within the Vector Solutions Training applications currently in place.

The Training Officers for Each Station shall assign the modules and track their

completion as required. As each module is complete the Training Officers and the

District Chief (or Designate) shall sign off on the JPR Sheets contained within this plan

and print the associated certificate of completion for their employee files.

During the Orientation period the Auxiliary Firefighters shall complete and pass the

associated examinations for the following modules:
