Project Goals

• Automate and sustain observations in Monterey Bay

• Increase the spatial resolution of regular and sustained observations (Pt Lobos CTD time series)

Year 2 Milestones

• Begin data acquisition operations (3/1)

• First data loaded into SSDS (6/1)

• New AUV payload integrated (8/1)

• Infrastructure for extended operations. (ongoing)

• 2003 Data set processed and loaded into SSDS (12/31)

• Regular 25 km data acquisition operations have commenced.

• Vehicle flies sawtooth pattern between the surface and 250 meters. Passes within 500 m of M-1 mooring.

• Data sets have been acquired in April, May and June.
