sees Ræburn turn to Mongolia, one of the last

truly wild places on earth, for inspiration. The washed out hues of the vast Mongolian steppes and the tactile textures and rich colours worn by traditional nomadic herders combine to create a dynamic seasonal palette.

The ‘ReMAde’ philosophy remains strongly represented throughout the collection. ever the alchemist, this season Ræburn re-imagines a multitude of military materials into menswear classics. Shredded snow camouflage ponchos

and protective rubber suits are used to create extraordinary outerwear silhouettes. Olive raindrop camouflage covers are reworked into signature parkas, anoraks and new more tailored styles, adding a wearable but still distinctive aspect to the ReMAde offering.

embroidery, patchwork and print capture the spirit of Mongolia, embodied by this season’s mascot the Snow Leopard, one of the most beautiful but endangered species on earth.

A clever use of scale and a balance of graphics and hand

illustration ensure a visually diverse but unified offering across knitwear, jersey and denim styles. Chunky hand knits complete the modern artisan aesthetic, which typifies the collection.

AW16 also sees a continuation of Christopher Ræburn’s collab-oration with Clarks. In keeping with the seasonal theme the two brands have worked closely together to explore and interpret the nature of modern craft, through technique, aesthetic and performance. The result is a winter footwear collection that is both unique and functional.

For Christopher Ræburn continues his exploration of modern menswear through the lens of unique locations, cultures, craft, and of course sustainability.
