YAP ANNOUNCEMENT SYSTEM - A multilingual, virtually automatic high-quality Airport Announcement System, based on the human native voice with an extensive vocabulary.

YAP GATE CLIENT - A service provided by Yapsystems at the areas of the boarding gates. This service

offers the local users, Airline staff and handling agencies, a set of boarding related announcements and an automatic and/or easy to use announcement selection method. Therefore this service will highly improve the boarding process. YAPsystems developed the Gate Client software with a connection to the airports FIS and/or AODB and/or Local Gate Handling Process and/or YAP Gate Client Utility (e.g. Fast Flight Number and/or Airplane Type Selection). Depending on the ability of the FIS our software will automatically detect all the essential information of the departing aircraft at that specific gate and will recognize the Airline, the destination, the aircraft type and the specific boarding procedures belonging to that flight. Based on the obtained information, all announcements will be announced according to the corporate identity of the Airline.

YAP CLOUD SOLUTION - Yapsystems recognizes that every Airport has its own specific needs and

implementation preferences. For that reason, Yapsystems provides an advanced Client Cloud Solution to make it easy for small and mid-sized Airports to deploy and integrate the announcement system at the Airport. This product has the same assured end-user experience as the on-site system. The Cloud Solutions are available on demand without compromising security or functionality. The entire suite runs on our Global Servers so all software and data, for example new Airlines and new Airports, are guaranteed to be up to date.

YAP MOBILE SOLUTION - Yapsystems offers passengers the possibility to receive information on their

mobile phone by SMS, email and/or voice calls. The system has the capability to generate text messages, emails or voice calls simultaneous with the actual broadcasting of an announcement, in any available language. Combined with displaying the flight-information on the FIDS, the system can individually send the specific information to passengers.

YAP ENTERPRISE SOLUTION - The flexible and modular design of the system makes it possible to offer

a highly scalable architecture for Airports and Airlines. The combination of the different solutions of YAPsystems (YAP Cloud Solutions, YAP Gate Client and/or YAP Message Processor) with the flexibility of YAPsystems incoming and outgoing interfaces results in our YAP Enterprise Solution. the capability to interface with most Public Address Systems, Yapsystems is able to roll-out our solution nationwide. The YAP Enterprise Solution gives Airlines and Airport groups the possibility to setup one YAP server to manage all connected Airports, gates and/or separate audio zones. Depending on the local requirements only the (remote) installation of specific services will be sufficient to manage all the required announcements per audio unit. This includes the capability to use different sources for the audio files. Airports and Airlines will be able to setup their own set of preferred announcements, so they can be consistent, e.g. corporate identity, in informing the travelers at any location at any time in any available language.

GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE (GUI) AND USER EXPERIENCE (UX) The Graphical User Interface of the YAP Announcement System (YAS) is a state-of-the-art solution and is designed according to the latest demands on user friendliness and flexibility (UX). Therefore operating the system is straightforward and user friendly, especially when a touchscreen device is available. As the users will experience, the system works very intuitive and will simplify the announcement creation process significantly. This new software offers the possibility to use any desired language as the operating language, therefore Airport staff will be able to operate the system in their native language. SAFETY & SECURITY With the YAS the Safety & Security of your Airport will significantly increase. By means of clock controlled announcements and ad hoc created announcements you can warn, inform, calm down and instruct your passengers according to the Airport safety policy. By clearly announced instructions the safety of your passengers will be substantially improved. In this way, you cannot only give a rapid response to calamities, but also prevent them. FIS/AODB INTERFACE YAS is especially developed to interface with the FIS and/or AODB with maximum flexibility. The YAS will automatically process all flight updates. Processed messages will turn into announcements and will be broadcasted at the right time, at the right place with the assigned priority. PUBLIC ADDRESS INTERFACE The YAS - Public Address (PA) interface is developed to communicate with a different number of Public Address Systems. The interface design allows Airports to create a reliable connection between their new or existing Public Address System and monitor all traffic between the YAS and the PA-router. ZONE VISUALIZER Zone Visualizer is a feature, which enables users to select or deselect individual zones by using one or more graphical maps of the Airport. When creating an announcement these Airport maps are presented on a screen showing all the zones that have been activated by default. This can be done by selecting or deselecting a zone through clicking or touching the screen. QUALITY AND PRONUNCIATION OF THE ANNOUNCEMENTS The announcements of the YAS are produced by native speakers which results in a pronunciation of announcements which is substantially better than in situations where local staff produce announcements. With less sound volume the YAS provides you with a superior quality and audibility. TRAFFIC FLOWS OF PASSENGERS International passengers have a better understanding of announcements as they are informed in their native language with a clear pronunciation. This manner of communication will result in a better flow of passengers to, from and between the gates. LESS UNNECESSARY ANNOUNCEMENTS The YAS allows you to choose several audio zones so that the announcements will be broadcasted in designated audio zone(s). This reduces unnecessary announcements in the other zones. The YAS can easily broadcast different announcements at the same time in different audio zones. The automatic time and priority selection ensures that the right announcement will be announced at the right time in the selected language(s).

COST AND WORKFLOW REDUCTION The number of announcers can be reduced significantly by Yapsystems, which will lead to substantial cost reductions. As a result of using Yapsystems, the international passengers will be well informed which leads to a better flow to, from and between the gates and therefore reducing the risk of flight delays. MANAGEMENT REPORT The management report function makes an automatic journal in the database of all announcements that have been made in the languages they were broadcasted. By means of this function, usage statistics can be monitored and a specific announcement logging can be used in case of legal issues.

Output examples using the YAS logging information FAVORITES The YAS has an extended content of different announcements. By means of a favorites function it is possible to allow individual users of the YAS to select only those announcements that they use frequently and move them to their favorite’s folder. Based on a user-id the YAS shows a personal configuration. This way a user, who is responsible for all messages at the gates, can personalize the navigation tool and create only gate announcements. Therefore the YAS can be applied in a flexible way at every location at the Airport.
