Automatic Attachment in Order Management

What is an Attachment –

Attachment is a file,text doc, or a web file attached to a particular

entity, to capture additional information or data, that is otherwise

not captured through applications

Enable users to link unstructured data, such as images,word doc,

spreadsheets, or text to application data.

Attachment information can flow through entire application


Set-Up Automatic Attachment in Order Management

Setup – Profile Option - OM: Apply Automatic Attachments: This profile option determines whether rule-based attachments are applied without user intervention

Setup - to Setup Attachment we need to Define document Define document category Define additional attachment rules Define a one time attachment

After you define your document category and additional rules and theirassignments,you can have the rule based attachment applied automatically ormanually.Important - Order Management applies any automatic attachments to importedorders that meet your automatic note criteria based on the setting of the OM: ApplyAutomatic Attachments profile option



Option # 1 - To apply an automatic attachment on an order or return: In the Sales Orders window, click Actions and select Apply Automatic

Attachments from the list of values.

Option # 2 - The attachment will be applied based on the additional rules you specified.

You can also set a profile option so that the system will automatically apply the automatic attachment.

Set the profile option OM: Apply Automatic Attachments to Yes. Go to the Sales Orders window to enter your order or return header and line

information. When you save your work, the system will automatically apply those

attachments based on the additional rules you specified.

Note: If a field value (such as Ship To) is changed, the new automatic attachment is

applied based on the rule and the old automatic attachment is deleted.
