Driver continuously in
control of steering andacceleration.
No systems intervene –only those that warn the
driver.
N/AACCLKA
The driver must constantly monitor the drive
Traffic Jam Assist (combination of ACC &
LKA)
Highway Patrol (incl. lane changes)
Urban Automated Driving
Full end-to-end journey
The system can take over the entire dynamic driving
task in all use cases.
The driver is no longer required at all.
The driver must constantly monitor the drive. He must
be ready to resume control immediately
System performs
longitudinal and lateral driving task in a defines
use case
The driver does not need to monitor the drive, but
be ready to resume control within a given time
frame if the system so requests.
The driver would not be required at all during these
cases – neither for monitoring, nor as backup.
The system can take over
either steering oracceleration/ deceleration.
The driver must continuously carry out the
other.
The system takes over
both steering andacceleration/ deceleration
in a defined use case.
The system takes over steering acceleration/
deceleration in a defined use case. It is capable of recognising its limits and
notifying the driver.
The driver can hand over
the entire driving task to the system in a defined
use case.

NEDC to WLTP (Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Test Procedures)WLTP new regulation
- Replaces NEDC (old methodology )
- Has impact on the vehicle weight, consumption and emissions.
Valuable data from Eurotax in order to
- Identify the car using VIN in order to get the full equipment data (standard and options) and establish the right fuel consumption, that leads to level CO2 emissions.
New WLTP standard could be used for
- Taxation levels (ex. Belgium and Austria model already in place)
- Regulation for vehicle access in the city center based on emissions

Autonomous Driving
already is coming
it will be transformational until the true benefits – level 5
during the next 5 years the topic will peak on the “hype cycle”
the technological possibilities and use cases are fascinating
the cars will become more expensive, require huge investments andthey will trigger all kinds of discussions and regulations that OEMsneed to adhere to
unless these cars are restricted to very unique and separated areas inthe streets, any non-autonomous car or even a pedestrian willcompletely destroy your autonomous driving experience as theautonomous car will always have to be the most defensive party onthe road. Autonomous cars also have the potential to create hugetraffic jams as they will break of everything and everyone.
