Theodore Seuss Geisel was born on March 2nd in Springfield, Massachusetts. He published his first cartoon in 1925. In 1926 he attended Oxford. He did not get his English degree. In 1927 he married Helen Palmer. He published over 400 cartoons in the New York newspaper. In 1949 he and his wife moved to La Jolla, California and lived their the rest oftheir lives.
