Imagine a sheet that is folded, bentand moulded by dexterous hands to createa surprise shape by the clever juxtaposition

of solids and voids. Luca Nichetto interpretsthe concept of a chair by starting from asheet of synthetic felt: the seat, back andsides are obtained through a system offolds and cuts that map out the proportions,folds and volumes. The light, geometricalframe is supported by slender legs in woodor metal. The result is a chair marked by astrong personality: comfortable, functionaland elegant. If a complex problem canbe solved by a simple solution, Motek issimplicity in a chair.

geformtes Blatt vor, das ber Flle undLeere berraschend Form annimmt. LucaNichetto konzipiert seinen Stuhl beginnendbei einem Blatt aus synthetischem Filz:Sitzkissen, Rckenlehne und Seitenentstehen aus einem System von Falten undSchnitten, die Proportionen, Kurven undVolumen bilden. Das leichte, geometrischgeformte Gestell ruht auf schlanken Beinenaus Holz oder Metall. All dies ergibt einenGegenstand mit klar geprgtem Charakter:bequem, zweckmig, schn. Wenn - wiejemand sagte - die Einfachheit die Lsungeines komplexen Problems ist, so ist Motekdie Einfachheit, die zum Stuhl wird.

Franco Albinis designs are literary. Oneglance is enough to create storytales: that abookcase is a ship, a chaise longue a sleigh and

a side table a lamingo. An armchair is a vehicleon which dreamers can travel, and a tabletouches the surface of the earth with the samegrace as a spaceship lands on the moon for theirst time. This is the TL3 table, reintroducedas a version that relects the aerial spirit ofthe original project. That top surface thatseems to be suspended in mid-air, hoveringon four tapered legs: lightness resisting thegravitational pull. A structural challenge solvedby expertise born of long experience and truecraftsmanship. As Albini knew, nothing is morereal than utopia and nothing is more seriousthan play.

Der Tisch ist das ModellTL3 in einer Neugestaltung, die der Leichtheitdes ursprnglichen Projektes genge tut. DieTischplatte scheint auf vier schlanken Beinenin der Luft zu schweben: Leichtheit gegenSchwerkraft. Eine Herausforderung an dieKonstruktion, die im konkreten Wissen und in

der rein handwerklichen Erfahrung verankertist. Denn Albini wusste sehr wohl, dass nichtsrealer als die Utopie und nichts ernsthafter alsdas Spiel ist.

Cette table, c'est TL3,repropose aujourd'hui dans une version quirespecte l'esprit arien du projet original. Unplateau suspendu en l'air, qui semble planersur quatre pieds fusels: lgret contre forcede gravit. Un di structurel aux racinesprofondes fond sur un savoir concret et surune exprience tout artisanale. Albini le savaitbien : rien n'est plus rel que l'utopie et rienn'est plus srieux que le jeu.

This most aristocratic of tablesexplores new horizons that extend beyondthe chromatic perfection of shadowy

colours and luminous glass. However, itsinherent class means that it can aordto take this type of risk. For example, thechoice of the wood, walnut, for the tablesurface. The result is so natural that thisnew version of the LC12 seems to havealways been around. The understatedrestraint of wood and its warm, friendlytouch makes the table seem more familiarand genuine. It seems to be even moreperfect than before: a surface that canbe interpreted as a pristine area like anoiseless piazza.

La struttura interna costituita da un telaio con cinghiatura elastica e poliuretano espanso,privo di CFC. Limbottitura in piuma con inserto in poliuretano. Sonoprevisti cuscini aggiuntivi, di forma quadrata, con imbottitura inpiuma, che consentono di interpretare il proprio stile in libert. La coque peut tre ralise en feutresynthtique en deux coloris - gris et gris anthracite - et en cuir,en cinq coloris - naturel, rouge de Russie, noir, marron opaque,tabac - pouvant tre associs direntes finitions de pieds :en alluminium brillant ou vernis noir opaque, en frne teintnoyer amrican ou bien en frne naturel. Pieds en couleur noiranthracite opaque.

This chair has a strong personality, easy on the eye withclean-cut lines. It is available in dierent materials and finishes,with the various combinations giving it a light, contemporaryfeel. The structure is in polished aluminium alloy or mat blackpainted. The shell can be in either synthetic felt coming in greyor anthracite grey or in five colours of leather: natural, Russianred, black, mat brown or tobacco. This can be combined withdierent leg finishes in polished aluminium or mat blackpainted, ashwood stained American walnut or natural ashwood.The feet are in mat anthracite black.
