    The prime location added to accurate choices, have allowed us to produce wines and olive oil of excellent quality, a real representation of “Authentic Sicily”.

  • OUR TERROIR

    Due to the favorable natural conditions, Trapani is the largest viticulture area in Europe. In the heart of this area, situated in thisunique site, we own two vineyards. Even though they are not very far away from each other, are completely different terroirs. Agro di Salaparuta Costa Vigne / Vigna del Principe for a total amount of 15 ha at 380m a.s.l. with a calcareous clay and sandy soil that grows: > Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Cabernet planted in 2004; > Nero D’Avola planted in 2003. Contrada Pergole for a total amount of 20 ha of: > Catarratto, Grillo, Insolia and Viogner planted in 2011; > Zibibbo has been planted in 2012 and will produce starting from the next vintage.

    ITALIAN WHITE WINE ORGANIC - PRODUCT OF ITALY

    ZOHRARED WINE

    Type: Red IGP / Terre Siciliane / OrganicGrapes: Nero d’Avola 60%, Syrah 30%, Cabernet 10%.Production area: South-western Sicily, Salaparuta. Altitude: 350 m AMSL. Orography: Hilly. Soils: Clay loam with a sub-alkaline reaction.Rich in nutritive elements (potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, manganese, zinc).

    VINEYARD Training and pruning: VSP (vertical shoot positioning), with wooden stakes and stainless steel wires; cordon spur pruning. Planting densities: 4,500 to 5,000 plants per hectare. Yield per hectare: About 8.5 tons (3.4 tons per acre).

    CELLAR Fermentation: In stainless steel with maceration on the skins for about 10 days at a temperature of 26-30 C (79-86°F). Aging: After malolactic fermentation, the wine fines for about five months in stainless steel tanks and then for almost 2 months in the bottle. Analysis data: Alcohol 13% ABV.

    TASTING NOTES Description: Ruby red, the wine has an intense aromas of red fruits, cherry and strawberry, with a delicate flowery notes. The mouth is fresh and persistent with soft tannins: a versatile red for many kinds of food pairings.Aging potential: To be enjoyed within 4-5 years.

    TASTING NOTES Description: Strong personality characterized by a fruity and floral bouquet, round and elegant in the mouth. The white peach and esotic fruits melt with flowers of the Mediterranean, which makes it’s bouquet intense and complete. In the palate the smooth and minerality give a pleasant sensation. Aging potential: To be enjoyed within 2-3 years.

    CELLAR Vinification: temperature controlled fermentation in 50 hl. stainless steelAging: in stainless steel tanks and then at least two months in the bottle before release. Analysis data: Alcohol 12,50 % ABV.

    TASTING NOTES Colour: Straw yellow with greenish reflectionsNose: Intense and persistent, with fruity and floral hints and notes of vanilla and citrus fruitsTaste: Full and soft, it maintains through time great balance and flavorAging potential: To be enjoyed within 3-4 years.
