Services• Policy services - development and maintenance of ADF Tactical
TDL policy documents;
• Interoperability services - Information Exchange Requirement Capture, Implementation and Integration advice, Assurance Services and Compliance Monitoring, Configuration Management of Standards;
• Test and compliance services - Conformance to Standard (CTS), Joint Interoperability Tests (JIT) and Coalition Interoperability Testing (CIT);
• Engineering services - for TDL and character based messaging systems; Link 11, Link 16, Link-22, VMF, JREAP and ASMTF;
• Operational services - Link 16 Network Design, support to the ADF Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) and Single Services;
• Training - Joint TDL training.

• When a new capability is being developed, identifying
roles it will perform will enable: • Identification of IERs with other systems
– Generation of a complete list of Mission Threads with traceability to Doctrine.
– Specification of more ‘testable’ TDL requirements.
• Test Threads with direct traceability to Operational
Requirements/Doctrine
• Development of an approved set of Test Threads that
can be used by anyone.
• Improved test coverage assurance.
Coalition Interoperability Testing• The Joint Interoperability Test Command conducted TDL CIT 16-03 in a
distributed laboratory environment at JITC, Arizona, and Fyshwick, Australia
from 18 through 22 April 2016.
