Where has the Australian Curriculum come from?

The Curriculum has come from the Melbourne Declaration of Educational Goals for Young Australians.

The focus of these goals is to emphasise the importance of knowledge, skills and understandings of learning areas, and general capabilities and cross curriculum priorities to develop a curriculum that supports 21st century learning.
