At two-degrees warming, for example, the diagramshows that summer Arctic sea ice extent could behalved, runoff in the South Saskatchewan River basinsignificantly reduced, and shipping through the GreatLakes and St. Lawrence Seaway could become morecostly due to lowering water levels.

The two-degree marker represents temperatureincreases over pre-industrial levels and is significantbecause Canada and other G8 nations have agreed totake measures to limit global temperature increases tono more than that level.

No, Ginsburg is still serving on the Supreme Court andthat statement is long forgotten.

You see, the truth is that this population controlphilosophy runs rampant throughout the highest levelsof the U.S. government.

John P. Holdren, Barack Obamas top science advisor,

co-authored a textbook entitled Ecoscience back in1977 in which he actually advocated mass sterilization,compulsory abortion, a one world government and aglobal police force to enforce population control.

On page 837 of Ecoscience, a claim is made thatcompulsory abortion would be perfectly legal under theU.S. Constitution.

Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsorypopulation-control laws, even including laws requiringcompulsory abortion, could be sustained under theexisting Constitution if the population crisis becamesufficiently severe to endanger the society.

On pages 942 and 943, a call is made for the creation of

a planetary regime that would control the globaleconomy and enforce population control measures.

Perhaps those agencies, combined with UNEP and theUnited Nations population agencies, might eventually bedeveloped into a Planetary Regimesort of an

international superagency for population, resources, andenvironment.

Such a comprehensive Planetary Regime could controlthe development, administration, conservation, anddistribution of all natural resources, renewable ornonrenewable, at least insofar as internationalimplications exist.

Thus the Regime could have the power to controlpollution not only in the atmosphere and oceans, butalso in such freshwater bodies as rivers and lakes thatcross internationalboundaries or that discharge into theoceans.

The Regime might also be a logical central agency for

regulating all international trade, perhaps includingassistance from DCs to LDCs, and including all food onthe international market.

The Planetary Regime might be given responsibility fordetermining the optimum population for the world andfor each region and for arbitrating various countriesshares within their regional limits. Control of populationsize might remain the responsibility of eachgovernment, but the Regime would have some power toenforce the agreed limits.

On page 917, the authors advocate the surrender ofU.S. national sovereignty to an internationalorganization.

If this could be accomplished, security might be

provided by an armed international organization, aglobal analogue of a police force. Many people haverecognized this as a goal, but the way to reach itremains obscure in a world where factionalism seems, ifanything, to be increasing. The first step necessarilyinvolves partial surrender of sovereignty to aninternational organization.
