The World Bank maintains that Australiais the richest country in the world, whenunexploited natural resources are taken

into account. Were the blessings bestowedupon this nation by accidentor by divineprovidence? Surprisingly, they are linked tothe very crown which so many Australianshave come to reject, in the countrys drive

to sever all ties with its royal heritage!

FLYING IN OVER THE TERRA COTTA ROOFS OF SYDNEY, THEcrystal waters of its world-renowned harborshimmering in the warmth of the southern sun,

memories flooded back of more than half a lifetime spentwithin the golden shores of the great south land. This isAustralia, with a land mass as extensive as the U.S. but withonly one-fifteenth its population. A land of strangemarsupials and massive ore reserves, it once boasted cattleranches bigger than Texas. Called the lucky country due toits unique blend of primary resources, balmy coastal

climates and easy, open-air lifestyle, its population has livedfor over 200 years in relative peace and harmony comparedto the rest of this unstable globe.

Yet this Australia, which I now visit as an ex-patriot, is acountry that seems to exhibit a permanently furrowed brow. Its stale, struggling economy now leaves its currency at themercy of the yen and the dollar. Its multiculturalpopulationthe legacy of decades of migration to its shoresfrom all points of the compasslives increasingly on theknife edge of a collective anxiety, cajoled into searching for anew identity. Will it remain Caucasianor is it destined tobecome Asian? Should it retain attachment to themonarchyor should it become a republic?

Fear of the prospect of invasion from the north hasspawned Australias first private militiathe Australian Free-dom Scouts. Several thousand personnel, from mainly ruralareas, have joined this group under the patronage of brigadierTed Serong , Australias most highly decorated Vietnam

veteran. As a British newspaper reported, The Scouts relypartly for their rallying power on unsubstantiated reportsthat Indonesian schools have maps showing most of the tophalf of Australia cut off and renamed South Irian. Theclaim provokes laughter at the Indonesian embassy. Australiais our friendand a friend in need is a friend indeed, said a

spokesman (The Sunday Times, July 19, 1998).However, Australians only have to think back to the 1960s

to remember Indonesia, under former president Sukarno, onthe march seeking southern hegemony, resulting in theannexing of the western half of Papua New Guinea, whichthey renamed Irian Jaya. Further, the Indonesiangovernments treatment of the peoples of East Timor inrecent decades has shocked the world with its blatantdisregard for human rights.

Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch sketched amore sobering prospect, during an address on the occasionof the 50th anniversary of the American-AustralianAssociation in New York. Speaking to a group of prominentguests, Murdoch stated, For instanceand this is not a far-fetched ideawhat if a total meltdown takes place in

Indonesia and 10 or so millions of people come over the littleTimor Sea? Would anyone [in the U.S.] be interested?(Herald Sun, July 2, 1998).

    Security Threat

Australia suddenly has a problem, a very real problem ofnational security. The awakening of Australians from theircomplacency over the nations security has been brutal. For30 years the bearded wonders who advised the nationsleaders in security and defense matters convinced successivegovernments to systematically under-arm the country as adeliberate act of foreign policy. By force of circumstance, events in Asia and the Pacific contrived to place Australiaand neighboring New Zealand in a geographical

    Northern Threat

This is vintage Australia. It is 3 p.m. on a brilliant, springafternoon, and we are 4,000 feet up, atop Porcupine Hill onthe Great Dividing Range, looking back east to the bigsmokeSydney. Across the undulating range, perched onthe edge of the great escarpment at Medlow Bath, is theVictorian-age Hydro Majestic Hotel, built to accommodatethe sons and daughters of Sydneys settlers who came to takethe benefit of fresh, eucalyptus-laden mountain air and thesparkling spring waters, rich in mineral benefit to tired city

minds and bodies.Earlier, the sun shone brightly as the wind stretched

ribbons of white cloud across the boundless southern sky.Further down the range, at Springwood, bush fires rage, and now, at Jenolan, strong winds drive in a rain squall. Aheavy mist soon settles over the range. A mother kangaroowith a joey in her pouch hops out of the bush for herevening meal. As she bends to nibble the sweet grasses,

jo ey s he ad po ps ou t in qu is it ivel y, li ck in g th e ne wl ydeposited moisture from the green blades. The bush issilent, save for the occasional call of a magpie shelteringfrom the rain. Suddenly there is no breeze. Strings of barkhang limply from the tall strands of bluegum. Below, thegreen grasslands, grazed by generations of cattle and sheep, undulate over the plateau amidst this great backbone ofeastern Australia.

Surely God gave to the sons of Joseph the most preciousplaces on earthand this is one of them (Deut. 33:13-17).Yet, this land does seem strangely empty when onecontemplates the fact that at its northern gateway lies acountry which contains within it the teeming millions of thethird-largest nation in the eastern hemisphere.

Although attached by heritage, culture and ethnic roots toGreat Britain, Australias closest neighbor exhibiting anyreasonable extent of power and population is Indonesia. Twohundred million Indonesians cram together in anarchipelago barely a quarter the size of Australia. To theirsouth, only a short haul by sea, lies an almost empty land asbig as the United States.

difficulties in overcoming 30 years of complacency in allowingthe U.S. and other Western powers to deal with NortheastAsia. The potentially destabilizing situation in Indonesia andthe strategic realignment of China and Russia has led to aredefinition of Australias operational theater in Asia inrelation to its strategic and security concerns. And unlessAustralia succeeds in reviving U.S. security interest in theregion, its unaccustomed role may also begin to tax Australianresources (Stratfor Global Intelligence Update, June 25, 1999).

    Asianization

Senior citizens in Australia remember the countrysgolden years. This was a time when Australias populationwas predominantly British-Irish in descent. They rememberthe time of full employment and the exploitation ofseemingly inexhaustible natural resources. It was a timewhen everyone knew everybody else in the street in onesneighborhood. A time of the morning or evening chatbetween neighbors over the back fence. A time of pride inthe national flag and a strong sense of heritage which, despitebeing 10,000 miles away on the other side of the globe, gaveevidence of their roots, attached to the crown, to a royalthrone that dated back to the mists of antiquity.

Despite its youthfulness as a nation, this attachment to thecrown gave Australia its traditional institutions which evokeda strong patriotism and a sense of duty and loyalty. Thisinspired Australians to leap to the defense of their culture, andthe way of life of a whole empire and commonwealth, whenthe trumpets of war sounded in 1914 and 1939.

Yet, one has to wonder, when in 1998 a chief petty officerof the Royal Australian Navy was photographed kneeling onthe deck of the missile frigate Newcastle before the statue of abuddha, where does the loyalty of Australias presentgeneration lie? Should the trumpet of war sound andAustralia be called to battle against an Eastern, Asian nationwhich worships this pagan god, to whom would this sailorshow his loyalty? To his pagan god and the Asian nationwhose culture embraces it, or to his own country?

Although, per capita, the number of Asian migrants is nothuge, the impact of their culture and religion on Australia has

    5Australia in Prophecy

wonderland, with their Asian neighbors totally distracted byinvestment funds being thrown at them from all over theworld. This lasted from the end of the Vietnam War in 1975until the dream was shattered by the Asian economicmeltdown in 1997.

Political stability built on prosperity lasts only as long asthe prosperity lasts. Australians first underestimated theextent of Asias economic problems and then refused to seethe inevitable consequences. Suddenly, the sea lanes, guaranteed by regional stability, were no longer secure(Stratfor Global Intelligence Update, Sept. 27, 1999). Australia

and New Zealand simply lack the firepower to do anythingabout this state of affairs.

The time has come for Gods prophecies against thecompact of Israel which resides within Australias shores tobe fulfilledfor Australians to feel the heat of approachingcorrection from a loving, patient, yet corrective Father. And itis being felt at the approaches to the sea gates historicallycontrolled by the great British Empire, to which this nationonce proudly belonged (Gen. 22:17).

Australias 30-year courtship of its Asian, Gentile loverscame to an abrupt end with the reversal of the Australianpretense to be Asian, when Prime Minister Howard suddenlythrust the nation back into the Western camp by declaringthat Australia would now act as deputy to sheriff U.S. in theAsian/Pacific realm. The Malaysian deputy home minister,

Azmi Khalid, wasted no time in playing the racial card, declaring, We are actually fed up with their stance, that theyare sitting in a white chair and supervising the coloredchairs (Stratfor Global Intelligence Update).

The U.S. remains unimpressed, for the moment, withAustralias overnight reversal of policy. For the present,Australia finds itself in a cleft stick in relation to its nationalsecurity. It has diplomatically isolated itself from its Asianneighbors without gaining any guarantees of the sheriff, theU.S., coming to its rescue in the event of a threat of incursionfrom them.

Australias present security problem is summed up by oneof the more astute analysts thus: ...a more aggressiveapproach to its Asian foreign policy will not be without

unravelled the entire fabric of Australian society. Thankslargely to their efforts, this day which gave honor to trueheroes and praised the name of Almighty God for thedeliverance of the countrys population from certain slaveryunder the flag of the rising sun is now, in the nations eyes, becoming somewhat of an anachronism. Australia is

forgetting. Forgetting its heritage.Of what significance is Anzac Day to those who wish to

change the very flag and oath of allegiance, the veryconstitution and form of government under which, and forwhich, their forbears fought, bled and died to protect these

very institutions? This loss of connection with its heritage has largely

stemmed from the liberal-socialist thought which penetratedAustralias institutions of learning from the 1960s on. Suchinfluences prepared the collective mind of the nation forseparation from its British heritage, an embracing of allthings Asian and a mood swing in favor of the replacementof its present monarchist form of government, givingallegiance to the queen, with a republican model.

Prime Minister Paul Keating, of Irish-Catholic-socialistdescent, brought the republican issue to the fore in 1993,during his term as national leader. Keating also deregulatedthe Australian economy in the 1980s, while he was federaltreasurer, and led the refocusing of Australian business towardAsia, away from many of its traditional first-world customers.

In recent decades, years of socialist government inAustralia devastated its traditional economy. The impact ofthis change of long-standing economic policies in this nationhas had its most detrimental effect on rural Australia.

Australias non-metropolitan sector accounts for 35 percentof the nations work force but accommodates 42 percent of itsunemployed. Rural commentator Asa Wahlquist expresses thereason for the destruction of Australias traditional primary-industry-based economy thus: When Labor won governmentin 1983, there were guaranteed minimum prices for wheat andwool, and statutory authorities held sway over sugar, coarsegrains and oilseeds, dairy products, eggs, citrus, dried fruit, peanuts, rice and tobacco. Banks were highly regulated, thedollar was fixed.

    7Australia in Prophecy

been rapid and significant. The influx of Asians is perceptiblychanging Australias culture, society and pattern ofownership (Daily Telegraph, Sept. 7, 1998). The view of theAsian-Australian is put forward by Jason Yat-Sen Li,Australian Unity Party spokesman. Its like they [Australians]are trying to romanticize an older version of this country, backto a time when you could walk down to the shops and leave

your front door open. A time when there were none of thesestrange, foreign-looking faces around. But even though thatAustralia doesnt exist anymore, its a period thats easy tomake look attractive (The Observer, Sept. 6, 1998).

The plain fact is, to the generation which weathered thestorm of the Great Depression, which has fought thedroughts and flooding rains of Australias sometimesunfriendly climate, the generation which fought to keep theAsian hordes out of the country (Australia was a base forGeneral MacArthurs successful Pacific campaign in WorldWar II), the generation which reconstructed Australianindustry following the years of war, with support fromBritish and European migrant laborto thatgeneration, theolder version of Australia is much more attractive thantodays Australia, which sees its national heritage warpedand increasingly diluted by the progressive Asianization ofits society.

    Lost Heritage

At the going down of the sun and at the dawn, we willremember them. Four generations of Australians and NewZealanders have repeated these words over the past 80 years, annually, each 25th of April. These are the closing words ofLaurence Binyons Poem for the Fallen, adopted as a eulogyto the ANZACS, the Australians and New Zealanders whofought at the failed campaign of Gallipoli, at Pine Gap, theSomme, Poziers and on other famous battlefields in the warthey once called the Great War of 1914-18. It is the eulogyto those who fell in battle in the tradition of the Anzacsoldier in other great battlesWorld War II, the MalayanIncursion, Korea, Vietnam. Anzac Day, as the national day ofremembrance is known, was once an event revered by thenation as an iconthat is, until the liberal-socialists

bits of fancy paper in the form of bonds, titles, stocks andsecurities, which is driving the pre-crash, high-credit, low-savings economies of the Western democracies to the limit. But when fear seizes the stock market, as it historically isdestined to do, Australia will find that its wrecked farmeconomy will simply not be able to supply its needs. Its foodimports from abroad will simply dry up as the worldsnations turn to feeding their own mouths first!

Some claim that the issue ofrepublicanism was brought tothe fore by Australian Prime Minister Keating in 1993 as astrategy to refocus the worrying minds of Australians off the

issue of their rapidly failing economy. If this is so, then thestrategy has, sadly, worked. The Australian press andopinion makers seized the issue of republicanism andconditioned the emotions of the nation toward the supportof a constitutional changeto replace traditional allegianceto the British monarch with a republican government byJanuary 1, 2001, the centenary of federation.

On November 6, 1999, the nation voted on two issueswhether to trash its national heritage by divorcing from thecrown to set up a republican form of government and, as aconsequence, whether to change the preamble to their 100-

yea r-o ld Con st itut ion . The cou ntry voted NO on bothcounts. Although the prevailing mood seemed to be in favorof both, it did not support the method by which thebureaucrats and their spin doctors proposed to achieve these

two great changes to Australias principal conventions.Bust Economy

In the 1960s, Australian writer and child of left-wingliberal-socialism Donald Horne authored a bestseller titledThe Lucky Country. The principal thesis of the book was thatAustralia had been blessed by great and continuing goodfortune since its establishment as a nation in 1901 on the basisof a series of lucky breaks. The gold rush of the 1800s wasfollowed by decades of massive wool and wheat productionwhich followed through to the 1960s, underpinning thenational economy. The mining boom seemingly replacedprimary agricultural production as the backbone of thecountry in the 1970s. New high-tech industries, plus tourism,

    9Australia in Prophecy

In 1989, the guaranteed minimum price for wheat ended. The next year, prices fell to the lowest on record. The woolreserve price scheme collapsed in 1991. The next year, woolprices halved to hit the lowest level on record. Mostwoolgrowers have not made a profit since.

Interest rates soared. Farm debt increased by 18 percentfrom 1985 to 1995, reaching a record high of $17.9 billion. In1995, beef prices sank to a 20-year low. Drought struck. At itspeak in 1994-95, drought reduced production by $1.95billion (The Weekend Australian, Sept. 26-27, 1998). Stategovernments mounted surveillance on their farm

communities in official suicide watches, out of concern atthe escalating incidence of farmers taking their own lives.

This policy simply sought to change the foundation uponwhich Australias traditional economic wealth was built.Australia grew up on the exploitation, development andexport of its given natural resourceswool, wheat, meat andminerals. The backbone of its commonwealth was its efficientfarm economy combined with some of the most efficientmining enterprises in the world. The socialists tried to changethis by swinging government support away from thecommodity sector to sunrise or high-tech industries. Thisstrategy was always destined for ultimate failure. With its tinypopulation, settled around the outer edge of a massive, emptyinland, combined with a small domestic capital investmentbase, plus its traditionally overpriced wage structure,

Australia simply is uncompetitive in the high-tech arena. TheAsian countries which stare down on this island continentfrom the north possess as their greatest natural resource hugelabor forces at cheap labor costs.

The cold hard facts which the Australian liberal-socialisteconomists fail to grasp is that you simply cant eat computertechnology and it wont clothe your body. On the other hand, there is always a market for wool, wheat and meat. Peoplewill always need to eat and be clothedbut mankind livedfor almost 6,000 years without the benefit of hightechnology.

Short-sighted socialist policies have fundamentallywrecked the foundation of the Australian economy. Australiamay ride the wave of false confidence bred by the greed for

The luck has simply run out for Australia. To match thecountrys net external liabilities, Australias official foreignexchange reserves would need to grow by more than 15 times(ibid., emphasis mine). This is an untenable position for anycountry to be in. In fact, so painful is the realization of thecountrys financial and economic predicament thatgovernment and the bureaucracy tend to avoid both analysisof, and comment on, the subject. Thus, the authoritiesconsole themselves with spurious calculations, when, in pointof fact, Australia is technically BANKRUPT (ibid.).

Race ProblemsAustralias national day is celebrated each January 26. Its

simply called Aust rali a Day. It celebrates the historicallanding of Captain Arthur Philip, in 1788, on the shores ofPort Jackson, now part of Sydney Harbor, to raise the Britishflag and claim the island continent of the south for hissovereign. There are voices being raised in Australia todaywhich claim that Australias national day should be changedfrom a celebration of claiming of the land as part of Britains

vast past empire to a day of nat ional mour ning for theAboriginal people of Australia.

The origin of the Australian Aborigine is couched in mythand the warped conclusions of well-meaning and some not-so-well-meaning anthropologists. One thing is certain. Theseblack-skinned people came to Australia via the Indiansubcontinent and the islands of the Straits of Malacca.Traditionally, the Australian Aborigine is a hunter, fisher andgatherer. The concept of agriculture, of tillage of the land andanimal husbandry, seems to have largely escaped Australiasearliest settlers. They were simply content to plunder the landof its wares without thought of giving anything back to it.

It is not fashionable in these days of political correctness togive the clearly observable facts surrounding the AustralianAborigine, in their original state, as they existed at the time ofwhite settlement. However, the plain facts are that theAustralian Aborigine, at the stage of their culturaldevelopment in which the early settlers found them over 200

years ago, were not an industrious people. Their articles ofmanufacture were limited to the most basic of tools and

    11Australia in Prophecy

offered the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow as the nationsmines progressively closed down in the 1990s due tointernational oversupply of key mineral resources.

Following the great migrations of the 1950s and 1960s,which built the muscle to drive its expanding manufacturing, resources and construction industries, Australia took off ona collective materialistic binge which consummated in theprofligacy of the great wage pushes of the 1970s and the ageof commercial greed in the 1980s. Then, suddenly, as the1990s dawned, having priced itself out of its markets, thecountry woke up from its obsessive consumption binge to

the hangover of extraordinary levels of foreign debt.Australia now finds itself living high on the hog, enjoying thebest of first-world standards in its lifestyle and trying to payfor it on a third-world budget! National consumption issimply unable to be matched by the means to finance it.

Technically, Australia is brokeBANKRUPT! The Australiaof today lives on cash flowand does its best to bury its headin the sand to ignore its liability to those who haveunderwritten its gluttonous consumptive habits.

Financial analyst Christopher Story paints a bleak pictureof Australias economic future: Australians seem liable tosuffer the worst of all possible combinations: a weak and

vul nerable exchange ratesoft to decl inin g commodityprices, eroding reserves of foreign exchange (already atprecariously low levels), increasing or persisting trade and

current account deficits, and ever rising external debt and, ofcourse, net external liabilities (Economic Intelligence Review,Sept. 1998).

During the last 15 years, certain influential voices withinthe Labor (socialist) government, business and the presscajoled Australians into thinking of themselves as havingtheir future tied to Asia, economically, rather than to thefirst-world economies. The result of the proselytizing ways ofAustralias Asiaphiles has been disastrous for the country. Itis now bracketed together with East Asia by analysts in theiroverall assessments of economic and financial developments. This has led to the Australian dollar suffering along with theEast Asian currencies. Since 1996 the Australian currencyunit has declined 21 percent in relation to the U.S. dollar!

weapons, traditionally thought of as stone age. They largelywent naked, save for the use of animal skins in the colderclimate of the south. The concepts of cloth and yarnmanufacture and weaving largely eluded them. Simple dug-out canoes were their only obvious means of transport incoastal areas, the areas of greatest settlement. In the harshdesert areas of the great Australian inland, people scrabbledfor existence living off fare which was simply not designed forhuman consumptionsnakes, lizards, grubs, kangaroos andother assorted marsupials, fortified by edible native berriesand fruits in areas where moisture was more concentrated.

At the foundation of the Aboriginal culture lies the cultof serpent worship. Legends and myths of the dreamtime, when the great serpent (Gen. 3:1) ruled not only the earth, but the universe, abound in Aboriginal lore. For students ofthe Bible, the origin of such myths and legends is clear, as isthe intent of their author (Rev. 12:9). What is not so apparentto most is the emerging industry which whiteanthropologists, historians, multitudes of liberal-socialistdo-gooders, a few sharp operators, young left-leaninglawyers and self-seeking politicians have made out of thiscultural apparition. What has emerged has indeed becomethe white mans burden in Australia.

Australian investors, pastoralists and landholders got areal scare in December 1996 with the Wik judgment in theAustralian high court. The Wik Aboriginal tribe, original

inhabitants of Cape York Peninsula in Queensland, thenortheastern Australian state, claimed native title overunoccupied land under lease to Australian pastoralists. Thisraised the specter of other native peoples jumping on thebandwagon of this judgment. The potential existed, underthe Wik judgment, for 76 percent of Australia beingclaimed by the Aboriginal community who number lessthan 2 percent of the countrys population! Encouraged bygreedy white lawyers, Aborigines soon tested the legislation

via a rash of claims on mining and oil leases and such touristattractions as the Great Barrier Reef.

Recently, the Wik legislation has been revised to allowcloser monitoring of land claims. However, white pastoralistsand business interests still feel under threat.

    12 Australia in Prophecy

Once again, t he liberal-socialists have succeeded inwarping the countrys conscience. Over the past 40 years, the collective Australian mind has been brainwashed intopaying penance for the perceived sins of their forefathersagainst the Australian native peoples. A national SorryDay was declared in May of 1998, for Australians to issuean apology to their Aboriginal population in atonement forthese perceived sins. On the other side of the coin, a motleycollection of mixed-race, self-interested anthropologists, historians, lawyers and politicians have bent the minds ofthe Aboriginal population to the extent that they now

expect to be apologized to, by the very people that havebuilt the systems of finance, health, welfare, education, business and housing of which they freely avail themselves.Commentator Auberon Waugh succinctly summarizes thisphenomenon. Australiansallowed themselves to bebrainwashed into exaggerated feelings of guilt towards thesurviving Aboriginal population, as if large payments ofmoney and special privileges could recompense thesepeople for whatever rough treatment their parents andgrandparents might have received in the past.

The resulting encampments, where Aborigines live inidleness and ease and usually in great squalor, are seen as anaffront by the white farming population which works harderand harder for ever smaller returns (Daily Telegraph, Sept.7, 1998).

FeminizationDivorce rates in Australia, although lower than the U.S.,

are escalating dramatically. Most analysts predict that onethird of contemporary marriages in Australia will end indivorce. At the turn of the century, for the first time inAustralias history, the majority of its divorces are initiated bywomen. Since the 1970s there has been a powerful liberalelement within Australia creating policies at the economicand political level which have flowed into law to force achange in gender roles. As Australian social commentatorHugh Mackay declares, By redefining gender roles, we notonly start to redefine marriage, the family and thehousehold, but we also begin to redefine our attitudes

strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men ofunderstanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time andchance happeneth to them all (Eccl. 9:11). Here the wordchance, which we associate with luck, is translated fromthe Hebrewpegia. A better rendition would be occurrenceor happening. The same author penned the words, Toevery thing there is a season, and a time to every purposeunder the heaven (Eccl. 3:1).

The wealth of Australia did not come about by purechance. It was gifted to it by a beneficent, supreme CreatorGod, in fulfillment of His promises to the patriarchs

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph. Australia, the great southland called Sinim in your Bible (Isa. 49:12), was colonized bydescendants of Ephraim, younger brother of Manasseh, bothbeing sons of Joseph (for a full explanation, write for our freebooklet The United States and Britain in Prophecy).

Australia is part of the company of nations (common-wealth) that God promised would be produced throughJacobs lineage (Gen. 35:11). The birthright blessings of God,inherited by the descendants of Jacob through his grandsonsEphraim and Manasseh, were bestowed upon theirdescendants, as God prophesied, exactly 2,520 yearsfollowing the imposition of the great curse God brought uponIsrael in 721 B.C. for their rebellion against His law. In 1800A.D., God began lavishing the birthright blessings uponEphraim (Britain and its colonies) and Manasseh (U.S.).

But God had a sobering warning for Ephraim andManasseh. If they did not properly worship their God, whocontinued to deliver them in modern times by miracles fromtheir enemies in two great world wars, He would bring uponthem such curses as have never before been seen upon thisearth. But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearkenunto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all hiscommandments and his statutes which I command thee thisday; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtakethee (Deut. 28:15).

One of those curses had to do with Ephraim andManasseh suffering from the influence of strangers, thosenot of the household of Israel, who would dwell amongthem. Israel, particularly Ephraim and Mannaseh, has always

    15Australia in Prophecy

towards politics, the place of work in our lives, our patternsof eating, shopping, mass media consumption and, ultimately, our demand for domestic housing (Reinventing

Australia, p. 54).MacKay goes on to declare that the traditional family

unit, on which many of our most cherished notions aboutthe Australian way of life depend, is in disarray.

Indeed! The traditional family unit has been soundermined by the success of the liberal-socialist engineers, the press, educators, religionists, policy-making bureaucratsand left-wing politicians in Australia that its oldest city,

Sydney, now boasts one of the worlds largest annualhomosexual debauches. Termed the Gay Mardi Gras, this

yearly festival of perversion attracts tourists, both bent andstraight, from all over the world. It is funded gratuitouslyand significantly by taxpayer dollars, with Australianbusinesses and the tourist industry keen to capitalize on theso-called pink dollar. What a great shame! In just 30 years, one of the traditional strengths of Australian masculinity, themateship bond that underpinned its heroic defense forces, has been perverted to the point where many a middle-agedman sports an earring and evinces a mincing, feminine gait.Butch women striding through Australias cities reveal thefulfillment of Romans 1:26 in this land which once was proudto honor the real manly heroes and true feminine heroines ofits pioneer days. Organizers say the parade is the most

spectacular promotion of gay and lesbian rights in the worldbut stress its also a political statement with those taking partcalling for the legal recognition of same-sex relationships.Visitors from around the world flock to Sydney for themonth-long Mardi Gras arts festival, now in its 19th year, injecting millions of dollars into the citys economy. Whatbegan in 1978 as a protest march has evolved into the worldsbiggest night-time parade. It draws a bigger crowd than anyother event in Australia (WTN News, Jan. 3, 1998).

    Future Reality

In the real world, there is no such thing as luck.Solomon was inspired to declare, I returned, and saw underthe sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the

    17Australia in Prophecy

been a magnanimous group of nations. They have openedthe gates of their countries to receive the Gentile peoples andshare with them the special blessings of God. Yet Godprophesies that these Gentiles who dwell among Ephraimand Manasseh will end up biting the hand that feeds them. The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee veryhigh; and thou shalt come down very low (Deut. 28:43).

This is happening today in Australia. The 2 percent of itsnative population seeks to hold the 98 percent to ransom.Increasingly, alien, particularly Asian, cultures are imposingtheir ungodly practices on Australia, changing and

corrupting its heritage. This will be the downfall of Australia.Having lost sight of their God-given heritage, this nation isdestined to be overrun by its Asian neighbors. It almosthappened in World War II when the infamous BrisbaneLine was drawn, as Australia admitted that it did not havethe military resources or population to mount an adequatedefense of its vast empty northern region. God savedAustralia then, as He used the military might of Manasseh, under the direction of General MacArthur, to fight back inthe Pacific campaign and gain ultimate victory for the Alliedforces.

Now, Australia has had a more recent warning of thebeastly manner in which some of these nations treat humanlife through events in East Timor, into which their ownmilitary forces have been drawn.

God is now warning Australia! For over 30 years Hewarned through a radio-then-TV broadcast, The WorldTomorrow, which covered the whole nation, bringing toAustralia the prophecies of Almighty God through the voiceof Herbert Armstrong.

Another voice now cries out an even more dire warningan end-of-the-end-time message! Increasingly, people arehearing and responding to that voice. Gerald Flurryunfearingly declares Gods warning prophecies to Australia

via a powerful televised message, The Key of David. He issupported by a small, yet loyal and devoted, army of

volu ntee rs wh o have de di cat ed th ei r li ve s to se e th atAustralia is warned of the impending punishment for its sinsof rebellion. Do you hear that message?Does it strike a chord
