Good News... Time is just flying—we cannot believe it’s time for our Spring/Summer class schedule. So many of you have been sharing ideas with us and we hope the variety featured in this issue is just what you hoped for -- we’ve got something for everyone! From start to finish, when you purchase your sewing system from Aurora Sewing Center our free classes on any product you buy and our onsite technical support set you up for success. Our great, knowledgeable staff continues to grow and they have developed advanced classes to inspire your creative side while keeping you on the cutting edge of the textile industry. Once again our Kids Kamp Clubhouse Value Pack is offered to inspire our budding sewers. Our Sew Fun I and Sew Fun II are bundled with all kits and supplies, PLUS a Baby Lock Sewing Machine for only $500. We welcome boys and girls and are excited to help them become confident sewers with skills that will be with them for life! Also, check out Fashion Summer Camp for Tweens – it is our new addition to Kamp offerings. We are partnering with Fashion Lab NY to teach kids the fashion fundamentals of design, sewing, merchandising and branding. Make fashion, not clothes. Summer School for adults is back! Arlene Kaye, fashion industry veteran and educator launched Fashion Lab NY in February 2016 here in Buffalo NY. With over 30 years experience working for global fashion brands including New Era Cap, Timberland and OshKosh B’Gosh, she decided it was time to inspire the next generation to forge their unique path into

the world of fashion. Arlene is passionate about empowering kids and teens with the creative skills and knowledge of sewing, fashion design and fashion branding. Her programs link old world skills to modern fashion and design by encouraging students to “make fashion, not clothes”. She also currently teaches Fashion Forecasting at SUNY Buffalo State College.

Block of the MonthCURVE IT UP Diane Over the next six months we will create a sampler quilt using the Quick Curve ruler. We’ll learn to make two different blocks each month. Each of the twelve blocks is a traditional block with a fresh modern look and each block, in the future, can be used to create projects on its own. Prerequisite: Quilting knowledge.

CLASS REFUND POLICY: We must make a commitment to our teachers one week prior to the start of their classes. Therefore, refunds are available when a cancellation is made ONE WEEK BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS, LESS A $5 HANDLING FEE. Cancellations made after that time will receive a CREDIT FOR STORE MERCHANDISE ONLY, LESS THE $5 HANDLING FEE. No refunds or credits will be given once a class has begun. In the event that ASC must cancel a class, individuals who register for that class will be contacted and given a full refund or the substitution of another course.
