elcome to this first issue of the AUR library
newsletter. The purpose of this newsletter is to point out to the AUR community some of the more important points of the library, especially dur-ing this time of change in information retrieval. Any-one who has visited the library in the past couple of years will find that many changes have taken place, and we can only expect that these changes will continue, perhaps at an even higher rate.
Don’t forget about the AUR Library Blog that keeps you up to date on all kinds of new information, such as new databases that can be searched, some of the new electronic re-sources and books added
to the catalog, and we point out some of the new entries made in the AUR Library Information Wiki (read about that on the next page)

Having Trouble with Electronic Resources?
P A G E 2 N U M B E R 1
Are you an AUR degree-seeking student and don’t have your CSI barcode? Do you have your barcode and don’t know how to use it?
Are you a study-abroad stu-dent and don’t know how to find the electronic materials at
your school? Look it up in the AUR Library Information Wiki!
How do I do that? Go to the AUR Library Catalog and click on one of the links about how to use the Elec-tronic resources. How do I get to the Cata-log?

moment we are not allowing anyone to edit the pages. You can add comments, however.
There is a lot of information in this wiki. For example, there are links to helpful pages in other library websites, and there are entire workshops. It is searchable by keyword and browsable as well. There is so much in the AUR Li-
What does it mean that the AUR catalog works together with a wiki? The library uses this wiki to add information that people need when they are doing research. Normally, wikis are open for anyone to edit, such as Wikipedia (this is one reason why you should never cite the information you find there), but for the
brary Information Wiki that the best way to learn about the wiki is to explore it.
What will I find when I get there?
All kinds of information. Of course, you can search for books in the library, but AUR’s catalog is designed to let you search for resources at other institutions in Rome, as well as many elec-tronic projects.
It also works very closely with the AUR Library Informa-tion Wiki, which has a wealth of information for you, including entire work-shops, helpful hints and all kinds of other information.

designed to help you!
