One more Academic year has commenced. We welcomed our children on 1 st of August after their one and half month summer break. Most of the last month went in settling down especially for our Nursery, Reception children and parents. As parents, the most important aspect about supporting your child's transition to pre-school is to be positive about the experience. There will be new routines to be learned and followed. The hours would seem to be long to the child. Try to look confident and happy while dropping your child to preschool. Children take cues from parents to understand how to react to the situation. Children need support to understand the new routine of going to a preschool and coming home later. Do feel free to give us a call and check if your child has calmed down and is enjoying him/ herself. Most importantly, be positive! Expect that children will need time and lots of patience. Lots have been happening in the school. Our Sports Program is going on very well. In PP-1 we have started our first UOI-“Interacting with people from different places can lead to diverse understanding”. In this we have been learning about various countries and their location. We have learnt the names of continents through the song. We are practicing saying ‘Hello’ in various languages. August 2016 Newsletter

Dear Parents,
Greetings!
One more Academic year has commenced. We welcomed our children on 1st of August after their one
and half month summer break.
Most of the last month went in settling down especially for our Nursery, Reception children and
parents.

Activities for this month:
Many thanks to all our lovely Parents for taking out time from their busy schedule and making Parent volunteering program a great success.
Field Trips: In-Ko Centre: On 23rd August our PP-1 learners visited In-Ko centre to study Indian Korean Culture in depth.
Nursery children went on a field trip to ‘Kalashetra’ on 19th of August 2016.
Children along with their parents observed music and movement classes. Sitting under the famed Banyan tree, Ms. Deepa, the co-ordinator narrated the story about the place. The learners reflected on their visit by choosing the template of favorite musical instrument to colour. At the end of the visit the learners presented a 'Thank you card'
(made by Nursery children using their fingerprints) to Ms.Deepa.
