As the new school year begins, and more children are walking on the sidewalks and crosswalks, let’s all remind ourselves that school zone speed limits are once again of paramount importance. Enid Public Schools have grown 3.4 percent this year, and more than 8,000 children are traveling back to school this August. The City of Enid takes your children’s education and safety very seriously and asks motorists to remain especially alert in school zones. The amount of servers the IT department manages. BY THE NUMBERS City of Enid’s IT Department provides an array of services that is almost impossible to list. From evaluating /maintaining different software and hardware, to installing radios on towers, they seem to do it all! They work hard to maintain the wireless network that not only provides for all of the City of Enid departments, but also to provide free Wi-Fi downtown for citizens.They may start their day by answering a helpdesk ticket and then finish it 40 feet off the ground in a bucket truck aiming or repairing a wireless antenna unit.
