Accounting Students advancing toward Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant status can choose from two 16 credit-hour certificates. These courses may be counted toward fulfillment of the Illinois CPA Society 150-hour rule and the Accounting concentration for degree-seeking M.B.A. or Master of Science in Accountancy students.

Business Administration This Certificate in Business Administration is designed for people in management roles who desire basic business skills and knowledge for career mobility and confidence. Four courses are required to earn the certificate and all four courses may be applied toward the M.B.A. degree provided the student is accepted into the M.B.A. program. Courses are offered each quarter so that students may enroll throughout the year.

Business Law The Certificate in Business Law focuses on how law shapes and transforms all aspects of business. Students will engage in explorations of such present-day issues related to the role of law in the rights of employees, partnerships, corporations and their boards of directors. Students will learn to apply the tenants of case law in real property, copyright and commercial transaction issues.
