How do you use it?Introduce the students to the web tools.Help them to register and to become members in order to

share the space.Give them some topics to deal with and upload their data and

materials on their wikis. Learn spoecific vocabulary;Practice the necessary grammar and structure.The students look for and get multimedia information and

material on the web, select and process it.

Why do you use wikispace? Wikispace is :

- Innovative and stimulating the students ‘ creativity.

- Learner-centred approach and respectful of different learning styles: such as linguistic, mathematical, spatial, kinesthetic, interpersonal.

- Promote the digital competences,

- Innovative in methods, tools and spaces and also promote cooperative

learning through the use of the web and ts learning communities.

- Respectful of the EU Recommendation on Key Competencies for Lifelong Learning

Why using Wikispace? Wikispace has two modes : the ‘normal one’ is like any other web page and the

‘editing mode’ lets the authors change text, edit existing pages and add new ones.

It is a good platform to create a collaborative project with other people. It lets people work asyncronically from different places : it is also useful: as information sources. for students to hand in assignments, which could include peer ratings from other

students. as tools for collaborative web-writing to create collective knowledge as discussion forums. as libraries or databases around particular cases or topics. A place to practice collaboration and co-operation skills.
