It also has an app for the iPhone and Android smart phones for convenience.

Login to your account
You can also sign in with
your Twitter account if
you have one.

Let’s Record
Click on Start Recording/Upload Free
Click here to record.
Make sure you have your microphone/headset
plugged in.
Click on Start
Recording
You can record up to five
minutes.

You can resume the recording
or preview.
It also gives you the option to
start the recording over again.
You can record up to 5
minutes so this tool has
limitations.
If you are finished, then
click on the Happy? Add a
Title button.
You can click to pause the recording if
needed. You also click here when you are
finished.
It tells you how long you have been
recording. Maximize recording time is
5 minutes.

Add a Title
Add tags (for keyword
searches)
Click on Publish.
You can add an
image for your
recording or map it
to a location.
Map- You can share your location
when it asks, or type in the address.
It will bring up a map. You can also
drag the “peg man” to a street to see
the street view.
Make sure to click Publish
when you are finished.

Click on the here hyperlink and it will take you to your Audio Boo
recordings account where you will see your new recording.
Your new recording will be at the top.
Click on the arrow to play.
Click on the Embed hyperlink to get
code if you want to post on a social
networking sight.
Your other recordings will
be on the right hand side. Click on the
pencil to edit
this recording.

Settings: Your Profile
Note: You can always
navigate to your recordings
by clicking on My Profile.
You will see a list of your recordings….
Double Click to Open a recording and
see options.
Click on Settings
Add your Profile and
Account Settings here.
Add as little or much information
as appropriate.
You can also upload a picture of
yourself or add clipart.
Make sure to click on Update.

One way you can share recordings automatically to a social networking
website:
Account Settings
Password Message notifications.
Click on posting to other sites- This
feature will post a message on one of
these social network sites whenever
you upload a new Audio Boo
recording.

Sharing your website Vs. Podcasting with Audio Boo
Since all recorded or uploaded audio is available as a full Podcast Feed,
others can follow your Audio Boo.
You can just share the website address via email, or post it on
your blog, wiki or website.
Your Audio Boo website address is Audioboo.fm/username.
Example: http://audioboo.fm/shthornton
Note: viewers will not receive notification when you Publish a
new audio Boo, but they will see all of your recordings if they
go to your Audio boo website.
Podcast- Subscribers receive
notification when you publish a new
Audio Boo.
How: People follow you though an
RSS feed on your Audio Boo website.
It will show your
followers here. Right
now you can see I don’t
have any.
Anyone can follow you by
navigating to your website and

Click on the drop down arrow and choose one of the following:
Live Bookmarks
Microsoft Outlook- Email Feed
Choose Application
If someone chooses Outlook
Email- an email will be
automatically sent to them each
time you publish a recording.
If they choose Live Bookmarks, then click on
Subscribe Now, a pop up window will come up like
this.
It will add the feed to their Bookmarks Toolbar.

You can use Audio Boo for:
Impromptu interviews that you can put on your website, ambience that just sound wonderful, music you’ve made yourself, a record of your children growing up or even a full blown radio show. You can use it for reporting, for story-telling, educational use or quick tips. it as your audio digital archive, your web connected dictaphone or simply a great way to let your friends know what you’re up to.
Audioboo works on iPhone, Android and Nokia devices, and you can also record via the web. Soon we’ll be adding Blackberry and Windows Mobile. Our mission is to be the one platform you use when you want to record audio, share it or keep it safe for the future.
