    Seat adjustmentElectric seat adjustment

    To adjust seat height and move seat backwards or forwards:Front of seat cushion up/downRear of seat cushion up/downSeat up/downSeat forwards/backwards

    To adjust backrest:Backrest further upright/further reclinedHead restraint up/down

    To adjust lumbar support:Press the appropriate part of the switch.

    Manual seat adjustmentTo move seat backwards or forwards:Lift the lever and move the seat. Then release the lever and move the seat furtheruntil the catch engages.To adjust angle of seat cushion:Lift the lever and adjust the seat angle.To adjust seat height:Pull up or press down the lever repeatedly.To adjust lumbar support:Press the appropriate part of the switch.To adjust backrest:Take your weight off the backrest and turnthe knob.Easy entry function:Pull the lever upwards and fold the backrestforwards; then release the lever and movethe seat forwards.To adjust head restraint:Press the button on the side of the head restraint and move the head restraint up ordown. The top of the head restraint shouldbe at eye level or higher.

    Starting the engineSwitching on the ignition/starting the engineInsert the key into the ignition lock.

    To switch on the ignition: Turn the key to position . The glow plugs on diesel

    engines start preheating in this position.To start the engine (on vehicles withmanual gearbox): Press the clutchand turn the key to position untilthe engine starts.

    To start the engine (on vehicles withautomatic gearbox): Move the selector

    lever to position P or N, press the brakepedal, and turn the key to position until

    the engine starts.To switch off the engine: Turn the key to position .0

    To release the selector lever and engage a gear: Switch on the ignition,

    Setting up:p Take the windbreak out of the storage

    bag (luggage compartment).p Fold the two side sections outwards.p Pull out the retainer pegs (left/right)

    and hold the windbreak in a horizontalposition against the backrest upholstery.

    p Slide the retainer pegs (left/right) allthe way into the mountings.

    p Press the release catches (left/right)and slide the locking pins into themounting holes at the sides.

    p Fold the vertical section of the wind-break into the fully upright position.

    Removing:Follow the instructions in reverse order.

    Driver information systemMulti-function steering wheelScroll the left thumbwheel to select a menu item in thedriver information system. Press the thumbwheel to confirm the selection.Press the MODE button to switch between the active audiosource and the navigation and telephone functions.Scroll the right thumbwheel to adjust the volume. If youpress the right thumbwheel, the last navigation cue will berepeated.

    p Enter the PIN ”1234” on your mobilephone.
