The auctioneer and/or master of ceremonies will announce any changes and additions before the Grand Auction begins, but they reserve the right to make changes throughout the auction.

When bidding, raise your hand, napkin, or if necessary, stand to get the attention of the auctioneer or one of his ring men. All high bidders are responsible for payment of auction items prior to leaving Convention. The auctioneer will settle any disputes regarding the bids during the live auction. Please make note that some auction items do not include the following, unless specified: Travel expenses to and from destination, lodging and meals, alcoholic beverages, packaging, shipping and gratuities.

All goods in the Grand Auction have been acquired and obtained from third parties. The high bidder acknowledges that the goods have not been inspected by TWA and is advised, in the case of knives or other weapons, to secure a competent inspection and test of the goods before use. The goods in the live auction are sold “as is” and without and/or implied warranty on the part of TWA.

A “Buyer Acknowledgement Form” will be given to the high bidder immediately following the auction of each item. Any failure to execute the Buyer Acknowledgement Form promptly will result in the auction item immediately being re-auctioned. All high bidders must pay in full for the auction item(s) on Sunday, July 16th, from 8:00 am–Noon at the registration desk.

Lot 1. La Paloma Ranch Whitetail & Turkey Hunt for Four Hunters

If you like to hunt, take a kid with you! This is a two-day management buck/turkey hunt for two (2) adult hunters and two (2) youth hunters on the La Paloma Ranch in Kenedy County, donated by Texas Parks & Wildlife Commission Chairman Emeritus and TWA Life Members Lee M. & Ramona Bass. This is a great opportunity to hunt for an above average whitetail management buck, with a turkey to boot, and to share the great outdoors with a youngster. This package includes guides, lunches and game preparation for travel. Overnight accommodations are available in Kingsville or Riviera. Each hunter is entitled to shoot one whitetail management buck and one turkey. Management bucks vary in size, depending on age, but are typically in the 140-160 class B&C range. Hunt must be taken between January 6, 2018 and February 28, 2018, with specific dates to be arranged with the donor. Youth hunters must be under the age of 18. Non-transferable. Meals Included. Hunt on Petty's Rancho Paisano for one (1) trophy whitetail buck, one (1) doe, and feral hogs, as desired. Texas Big Game Awards Exclusive Artwork Collection by Artist Mike Childress Add some exclusive art to your collection! For the first time ever, Texas wildlife artist and TWA Member Mike Childress has donated two unique pieces to the grand auction. FIRST, is the ORIGINAL pen and ink drawing, matted, framed, and signed by Mr. Childress titled, “Two Texas Trophies.” This unique drawing features the top two non-typical mule deer taken in Texas during the 2015-2016 hunting season. The first muley was taken in Culberson County scoring 232 4/8 B&C. The second muley scoring 226 2/8 B&C, was the first deer ever harvested on the TPWD’s Yoakum Dunes WMA located in Terry County. Both deer rank currently as the number two and number three mule deer of all-time in the TBGA respectively. A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies this original work. And we are not done! SECONDLY, you will receive the #1/50 prints of the newly created Texas Big Game Awards 20th Anniversary Series! This print by Mike Childress which is framed and matted, features all 20 year artworks on the TBGA art program since its inception. The print is sized 36x24 and is only one of fifty made!
