weight loss up.Aimee missed

workouts for a week due to illness. The bug shecaught really slowed her down. But now that shes

healthy again, shes bounced back into a positiveoutlook and working out rigorously again.Im working on getting back into the routine,

Aimee said.To get her back on track, her trainer Brad

Herman of Anytime Fitness keeps her heartrate up.

Were introducing new workouts, trying to stepit up each week. Were throwing more cardio intothe workouts, too, Brad said. We want to keep

the heart rate up a little more than usual at thispoint.

According to Brad, keeping Aimee focusedand on her toes is the best way to get her over asickness-induced slump.

You have to recover from that week you wereout sick, Brad said. It takes so little time to

lose that stamina, and you have to work hard toget it back.Aimee is keeping her attitude positive and

Aimees losing a consistent pound a week,Brad said.

And even more encouraging than the weightloss is the way Aimee feels. She recognizes thechanges in her bodys endurance and shape.

My clothes are fitting so much better andsome are now too big. Everyone is commentingon how good I look, Aimee said. Ive reallynoticed the inches.

Aimee has also seen a dramatic improvement

in her endurance for certain workouts, like theplank. She can hold her position for five timesas long as she could at the beginning of theprogram. Plus she actually looks forward to her

workouts now.Im getting

addicted to thecardio! Aimeesaid. Usuallyafter a coupleof hours afterthe workout Istart feelingreally good. Ihave muscles inthere that wantto work!

While Emmeline continues to drop pounds aswell, her busy schedule and the discouragementthat creeps in can mess with her head. She putsin a lot of effort to keep her focus strong.

I feel like Ive hit a wall this past week. Imjust working past that hurdle now, Emmelinesaid.

Wall or no, Emmeline plows on through itwith determination. She keeps up her strengthand cardio routines, focusing on intervaltraining for ultimate calorie burn. Brad, who isalso training Emmeline, suggests intervaltraining for both ladies.

Doing intervals with the cardio is greatbecause it gets their heart rate up and down, thenback up. It seems to be paying off, Brad said.

Emmeline is losing inches and gainingendurance, but the struggle with seeing thechanges gets to her at times.

I think the biggest thing is to get into thatmindset, Emmeline explained. My familytells me that this is great and that I lookthinner, but I just dont see it.

Brad assured Emmeline that her results arenoticeable to him and to everyone else.Sometimes gradual weight loss can be difficult

to grasp because you see yourself every day. Butthe scale speaks for itself, and so doesEmmelines improvement in her workouts.

She also has five times the endurance that shehad previously with workouts like the plank,

which accordingto Brad is aneffectivemeasurement ofchange, a pieceofencouragementthat keepsEmmelinesattitudepositive.

The plank isa great way to

judge how yourcore strengthdevelops, Brad

said after timingEmmeline. Itsnice for them to

see that progress and how far theyve come.Given Emmelines continued progress, Brad

recommended that she switch up her cardioroutine by taking a boot camp class or joggingoutside. He encouraged both Emmeline and

Aimee to keep up the good work and focus onbalancing their health with rigorous training

and the positive, determined focus that keepsthem on track.

Were really stressing the balance of cardioand weight training, Brad said. Its aboutgetting healthy, not just about getting skinny.
