Read all instructions before starting
1. Trace each pocket two times onto fabric side of fusible interfacing. Iron the rough side of each to your wool. Use steam for a good bond. Cut on the lines.
2. Trace all other shapes onto paper side of fusible following pattern instructions. Refer to cover pic if needed. Iron rough side down to corresponding wool. Cut out exactly on the lines. Remove paper. Place fusible side down and iron pocket flaps to corresponding pocket. Stitch bottom and top using blanket stitch. Sides will be stitched when you sew the front and back together.
3. Position each piece on corresponding pocket, fuse in place. 4. Santa pocket: Do not overlap face/hat. Brim will cover both edges. Whip stitch mustache. Add small lazy daisy stitches on
hat pompom and French knot in the center. Blanket stitch hat and beard. Use short straight stitches to make snowflakes. Stitch French knot eyes (wrap thread 2 times) and a straight stitch for nose.
5. Pinecone pocket: Use placement guide to lay down and fuse pieces. Pieces are numbered in the order they are added to the pocket so overlapping is correct. Blanket stitch or whip stitch in place. Add long straight stitches for pine needles. Refer to cover pic for placement.
6. Blanket stitch across top of back piece of each pocket. Pin each pocket front to their back piece, wrong sides together and blanket stitch together.
7. Add buttons and a hanger. 8. Enjoy the work of your hands!

Blanket stitch – Take an upright stitch to the right of where the thread came up with the needle pointed up, keeping the thread under the needle and coming out on the line or the edge of your wool.

Lazy daisy stitch – Hold thread down
with thumb and insert needle where it
first came out. Bring point out a short
distance away keeping the needle on top
of the thread. Fasten loop down with a
short stitch.
French knot – Hold the needle in your right hand. With your left hand, wrap the thread around the needle 1-3 times, depending on the size of knot you want. Be sure needle points away from the fabric when you wrap the thread and wrap it close to where the thread comes through the fabric. In-sert the needle close to where it came out. Holding the knot in place, pull the needle to the wrong side of fabric.
Short straight stitch (whip stitch) - Bring thread from back of fabric just out-side the edge of the design. Take short straight stitches perpendicular to the edge of design. Space stitches the same in depth and width.
PATTERN IS REVERSED FOR FUSIBLE.
TRACE AND CUT ONE OF EACH PIECE.
