PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT Total Equipment Budget: $290,000

1. Equipment shall support the design intentions and blend nature and modern play.

2. Equipment solicitation is organized in 3 groups and shall include the playground surface:

1. Feature Element: looking for a tall “wow”2. 5 to 12 age: activities for the range of

abilities.3. 0 to 5 age: activities for younger kids

3. The feature element and 5 to 12 age elements should flow together and appear as a continuation of each other.

4. The combination of the 3 groups shall create a well balanced playground experience for all ages and abilities.

5. The following images are ideas to illustrate the desired character and do not necessarily reflect the budget allocation.

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT: Feature Element Allocation: $125,000

1. Multiple level structure for 1-12 age with “nature influence”. Structure shall have multiple access means, slides, cargo net, climbing wall and “enclosures”. Ground level shall provide 1- 5 age “storefronts”.

2. Element shall be dominating and a “wow”. 3. Desirable to connect to upper play area with bridge.4. Should flow into 5 to 12 age equipment5. Include engineered wood fiber playground surfacing system

in this area.

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT: 5 to 12 age Allocation: $120,000

1. Outward oriented play structure with multiple towers. Multiple tiers and access methods. Hammock platforms, cargo net, rope ladder, tight rope attachments shall be included. Supports may be natural poles or steel or mixed.

2. Variety of ground level elements: balance beams, stump steps

3. Belt, assisted, and tire swings required. 4. Zip line required on sloped area.5. Should flow into feature element 6. Include engineered wood fiber playground surfacing system

in this area.7. Long and short embedded slides are required and shall be

located on sloped areas on or within surface provided by others.

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT: 0 to 5 age Allocation: $45,000

1. Variety of swings are required2. Multi-level activity structure with slides and a variety of access types3. Cargo net, balance beam and other ground level activities4. Sensory play elements5. Hill side rope climb (surfacing on hillside shall be provided by others) 6. Include poured in place playground surfacing system in this area
