Call to Order Kimberly Peer, Chair, called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Approval of Minutes Action: Kimberly Peer moved that the minutes from the May 17, 2017, meeting be approved as amended. Hollie Kozak seconded the motion. The motion carried. Brian Hortz was absent due to attending the enforcement review panel) Board Update Susan Stevens will give a full executive report at the Joint Board Meeting. The Executive Assistant reported that Board Minutes were archives with State Archive Department. The Board Minutes were archived from 1977 to 2007. Discussion of Laws and Rules The Section will have a rule review at the September 2017 Section meeting. The Section will invite the OATA Legislative Committee members Mike Meddick and Jeff Spanski to the Section Retreat. The Section will hold the Section Retreat at the September 2017 meeting. Administrative Reports Licensure Applications Action: Kimberly Peer moved that the Athletic Trainers Section ratify, as submitted, the athletic training licenses issued by examination, endorsement, and reinstatement by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board from May 17, 2017, through July 12, 2017, taking into account those licenses subject to discipline, surrender, or non-renewal. The motion carried. Event Approval Action: Susan Stevens moved that the Section ratify approval of 2 Event Approvals since the May 17, 2017 Section meeting. Kimberly Peer seconded the motion. The motion carried. Assistant Attorney General Report Melissa Wilburn, AAG had no formal report for the Section. Case Review Liaison Report Brian Hortz reported that the Enforcement Division opened six new cases and closed zero cases since May 17, 2017 meeting. There are seven cases currently open. There are zero active consent agreements and one adjudication order being monitored. Enforcement Actions Brian Hortz recommend that the Section issue a notice for opportunity for hearing for case number AT-FY17-006 for unlicensed practice. Action: Susan Stevens moved that the Section issue notice for opportunity for hearing for case number AT-FY17-006 for unlicensed practice. Kimberly Peer seconded the motion. Brian Hortz abstained from voting. The motion carried.

Old Business None New Business AT Section Retreat The Section will hold the AT Retreat at the September 14, 2017 at 12:00pm immediately following the regularly scheduled Section meeting. The Section will work on the Five Year Rule Review and will continue to work on the reviewing all rules. Correspondence There was no correspondence for review. Ohio Athletic Trainers Association (OATA) The Section will invite the Legislative Committee to the retreat in September 2017. Open Forum Brian Hortz reported that he may be able to attend the upcoming Board of Certification Conference. Susan Stevens discussed the presentation with Siobhan Fagan at the Leadership Forum. The Section discussed the upcoming board positions chair, secretary, and liaison. Items for the Next Meeting
