The Gulf Bank 642 Marathon - Kuwait. Our team is working

hard to welcome you to an event that captures the spirit

of Running in the heart of Kuwait. Your day will start with

the a great Run on Souq Sharq Bridge, then will pass

by the famous landmarks of Kuwait city such as: Souq

Mubarakiya, Grand Mosque, Kuwait Towers, Sheikh Jaber

Al-Ahmed Cultural Centre and finish through the beautiful

Souq Sharq coast. All the while, your friends and family

will be able to follow the results live through our website.

The finish line will be an unforgettable experience, as our

announcers will greet every athlete until the final finishers

are welcomed.

PARTICIPANT PACKET PICK-UP The ticket has been emailed to all participants (whether in mobile or printed form) is your individual proof of entry into the race and must be presented, at the Participant Bib collection area to receive your participant packet (bib number , participant bag and running shirt)

Review your packet pick-up ticket for accuracy, including your name,and gender. This information is critical for accurate scoring and mailing of results.

PARTICIPANT PACKET Your participant packet includes:

• Bib number and safety pins

• Race bag

• Running shirt

PACKET PICK-UP INSTRUCTIONS• All participant packets and participant bags must be picked up in person at

Souq Sharq

• You must pick up your own participant packet and participant bag at Souq Sharq. Individuals will not be allowed to pick up these items on behalf of others.

• To check in, you must present your regsitration confirmation. Our team will

scan the registration ticket, verify your details and hand your race packet.

• If you misplaced or did not receive a packet pick-up ticket or email, go directly to the Participant Services Desk where a staff member will, upon verification of your registration, check you in.

BIB NUMBER Your Gulf Bank 642 Marathon bib number is a unique identifier and must be worn and visible at all times on race day.

BIB NUMBER REQUIREMENTS

• Your bib number must be fastened to the front of your running attire and

visible to gain access into the start line on race morning; it must remain visible

throughout the entire race

• Do not physically alter your bib number in any way.

• Fill out the back of your bib number with your emergency contact and

medical information.

• Your bib number is non-transferable and must be worn only by you, the

registered participant.

• The sale and/or transfer of your bib number is strictly prohibited and will result

in disqualification.

You will be photographed multiple times during the event. Please make sure your

race number is visible at all times for easy identification. Make sure to smile! check our

At the start line you can find plenty of bathrooms inside the Mall, at the course there

will be Two toilets at the 21km and 42km course. Please check the maps for exact

location

Parking is available in any public parking area throughout the Souq sharq area.

Don’t forget to engrave your medal once you cross the finish line. Our team will be

happy to assets you at the engraving office located at the village.

5KMThe start line will be at Souq Sharq bridge, when exiting Souq Sharq you will turn right heading to Alseef Round About, then heading west toward Gulf Bank, then right toward Souq Almubarakia. After existing the old Souq all signs will lead you back to the starting point at Souq Sharq.

Every participant must know the directions on the course; race organizers, marshals and officials are not responsible if you miss a turn.There will be ONE aid station on the run course; participants will pass by the aid station twice.

10KMThe start line will be at Souq Sharq bridge, when exiting Souq Sharq you will turn right heading to Alseef Round About, then heading west toward Gulf Bank, then right toward Souq Almubarakia, after existing the old Souq there will be a split between the 5KM and the 10KM, the 10 KM participants must turn left towards National Assembly of Kuwait, the turnaround is located at the 5.5KM official checkpoints on the course. Return by the same route to Souq Sharq.

21KMThe start line will be at Souq Sharq bridge, when exiting Souq Sharq you will turn right heading to Alseef Round About, then heading west toward Gulf Bank, then right toward Souq Almubarakia, after existing the old souq there will be a split between the 5KM and the 21KM, the 21 KM participants must turn left towards National Assembly of Kuwait, You will pass by the official 10km checkpoint and continue straight Kuwait Petroleum Company toward the last turnaround which is located at the 5.5KM official checkpoints on the course. Return by the same route to Souq

Sharq, after head to Kuwait towers until you reach the official turnaround, then back at the same route back to Souq Sharq.Every participant must know the directions on the course; race organizers, marshals and officials are not responsible if you miss a turn.There will be FIVE aid stations on the run course; participants will pass by the aid stations twice.

42KMThe start line will be at Souq Sharq bridge, when exiting Souq Sharq you will turn right heading to Alseef Round About, then heading west toward Gulf Bank, then right toward Souq Almubarakia, after existing the old souq there will be a split between the 5KM and the 21KM, the 21 KM participants must turn left towards National Assembly of Kuwait, You will pass by the official 10km checkpoint and continue straight Kuwait Petroleum Company toward the last turnaround which is located at the 5.5KM official checkpoints on the course. Return by the same route to Souq Sharq, after head to Kuwait towers until you reach the official turnaround, then back at the

same route back to Souq Sharq. Once you reach Souq Sharq there will be another official turning point for the 42 Km participants ONLY as shown in the map below, each participants must do 4 laps in that section.Every participant must know the directions on the course; race organizers, marshals and officials are not responsible if you miss a turn.There will be FIVE aid stations on the run course; participants will pass by the aid stations twice.at the last section of the course where the laps are there will be 3 aid stations dedicated for the 42km participants, one of them will include sport drinks, fruits and sponges.
