Level 1 Gamification Certification – Day Long Workshop

The ONLY Gamification Certification that earns you recertification* credits with HRCI, SHRM, and ATD. This hands-on workshop takes you through the 5-step trademarked and proven process of gamifiying your organizational quest. By following the 5-step plan, you are essentially assured a successful outcome. Game mechanics such as points, levels, challenges, rewards, chance, collaboration, scarcity, time limits, and leaderboards are directly linked to the human desires of achievement, status, self-expression, competition, and altruism. These mechanics (and more) provide an ideal adult learning environment as learners practice their skills, get immediate feedback on their progress, earn recognition, and build confidence in their ability to overcome a challenge.

2016 - Tentative

CPLP Certification

The Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) certification is the only credential covering the entire talent development (TD) profession. To earn the credential, candidates must meet 1) eligibility requirements, 2) successfully complete a ten area knowledge exam, and 3) submit a successful project (work product) in one of four areas.

To be eligible, all candidates must have at least five years of full-time professional work experience in the TD field of the equivalent. The CPLP registration fee to test is $799 for ATD members and $999 for non-members (so we are pursuing a group option in hopes of lowering the fees). Candidates generally take up to one year to earn the CPLP credential, including a thorough review of the Certification Handbook, 15 minutes to apply and register, 80+ hours to study/prepare for the multiple choice exam, and 40+ hours to compile the work product submission materials. The Heart of Central Illinois Chapter of ATD is looking into a group effort to pursue the CPLP Certification for discounted pricing to members. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
