This booklet contains everything you need to suc-cessfully complete your Quest, including the official Trea-sure Maps, the listings of all participating Quest locations, and your official Quest Entry Forms.

As you Quest for beautiful hand-blown Glass Treasures, we invite you to explore all that our community has to offer. Set against the backdrop of snow-capped mountain peaks of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, and the beauty of Saratoga Passage, the Stanwood-Camano community of-fers quiet winter beaches and quaint locally owned shops, gem-like parks, and a community-built playground just for kids. You’ll discover a wonderful community with rich heri-tage, a vibrant modern art scene, and outstanding natural surroundings.

The last weekend of the 2017 Quest offers Questors the unique opportunity to enjoy our community’s other winter wonder – the sights and sounds of Snow Geese, Trumpeter Swans, and other winter birds that mass in the fields and on the waters surrounding Stanwood and Camano Island. In conjunction with the migration of these unique birds, the Port Susan Snow Goose and Birding Festival offers guided and self-guided tours, speakers, and vendors for birders of all levels and ages.

Find a “Clue Ball”and You’ll Find the Treasure!

Your Quest is to locate a “Clue Ball,” a hollow plastic ball with a slip of paper tucked inside. That paper holds the “Clue” or instructions to claim your 2017 Glass Treasure. All “Clue Balls” are the same size, but not all “Clue Balls” will look the same! Some “Clue Balls” might be camou-flaged with paint, texture, or decorations...so keep your eyes peeled.

Each limited edition Great Northwest Glass Quest Trea-sure is stamped with the 2017 logo, signed by the artist, and marked with a unique number.

1. With your Official Guidebook in hand, locate Quest Sites display-ing “Quest Here” signs. Quest ONLY where you see it displayed!

2. When entering a Quest site, let your host know you’re on the hunt. Don’t ask for clues like “is it hidden here today?” All hosts have sworn a solemn oath to secrecy. Enjoy the thrill of the hunt!

3. Your hosts will be conducting normal business during the Quest, so good manners and courtesy are certainly appreciated.

4. Watch for restricted areas. Your host may post signs or inform you of “off-limits” areas. If it looks like personal property, it probably is!

5. “Clue Balls” can be found in several parks, listed in this Guide Book. Be sure to observe the guidelines for each park. Camano Island State Park and Cama Beach State Park require you to have a current Discover Pass to enter. You can purchase a pass at either park if you don’t already have one.

6. “Clue Balls” are elusive. They may be camouflaged, but they can ALWAYS be found using your eyes only. Look high and low, but you should never have to move merchandise or displays to find a “Clue Ball.” If you spot one that you can’t reach, just ask your host for help.

7. If you find a “Clue Ball,” read the message inside and follow its instructions to claim your Glass Treasure! Your find will be registered as your very own original, signed, and numbered 2017 Glass Treasure!

8. If you don’t spot a “Clue Ball,” ask your host to stamp one of the Prize Drawing Entry Forms found at the back of this booklet. Five stamps entitle you to enter our free drawing for a 2017 Glass Treasure, or to purchase one at a special Questor Discount.

9. Keep your eyes peeled, and have a great Quest!

At the back of your 2017 Questor Guide Book, you’ll find official Entry Forms for our free prize drawing - your chance to win a 2017 unlimited, signed edition Glass Treasure. Simply collect a stamp from each of the businesses you visit dutring the Quest. When you’ve collected five stamps on an Entry Form, you may turn it in to any Quest Host. Continue on your Quest and collect more stamps on the additional Forms provided. The Grand Prize Drawing will be held on March 18, 2017 (at the Port Susan Home & Garden Show). You need not be present to win; all winners will be notified by phone or email. If you can’t wait to win your Trea-sure, you can use one or more of your completed (stamped) Entry Forms to purchase an unlimited Treasure at a special Questor’s Discount.
