Piggery Café Vue Events

The state-of-the-art Burnham Bakery and the adjoining Piggery Café are both in full swing and baking enchanting in-house breads and pastries, while the Café has been designed in a warm and rustic manner with touches of modernity and the menu reflects this.

In time, Australia’s longest chicken run will be built at Burnham Beeches plus a 16-cow automated dairy, along with a steakhouse, microbrewery and the pièce de résistance, a European-style food/hospitality/residential hub that aims to be Australia’s first six-star luxury retreat. Outside a slew of tables lay under heating strobes looking out to lawn bowls, croquet and bocce pitches. Look even further across the 23-hectare estate and into the distance and you’ll spot the 500 tree trufferie, extensive vegetable gardens (now providing organic produce for Vue de monde and assorted Vue Group restaurants) and an emu enclosure with rescued birds, with the eggs used in various Piggery Café dishes.

Lunch And Breakfast EventsThe hiring of The Granary Room for a breakfast or lunch event does not include access to Truffle Hall or the outdoor terrace. Breakfast and Lunch events will be semi-private as the rest of the venue will operate as normal. All evening events will have front terrace access as a part of the hired space.

Menu OfferingThe Piggery Café specializes in sharing style dining based on seasonal availability and the yield of our kitchen garden. Our chefs will develop a menu specifically for your event.

Children menus and crew meals are also available.

Dietary requirements must be confirmed seven daysprior to the event booking.

Pre Event DrinksDifferent spaces have different options depending on capacity and availability. Your events team will discuss these with you at the time of enquiry.

Beverage Options— Beverages charged on consumption— Beverage packages for various durations at a per person price

Minimum SpendsThe minimum spend refers to the minimum amount committed to for food and beverage. Additional items such as flowers and styling are in addition to this amount. If the minimum spend is not reached the outstanding amount is charged as room hire.

Audio VisualThe Piggery has some built in audio visual equipment including a cordless microphone and background music facilities with iPod connectivity. You are welcome to supply your own additional audio visual equipment, or we are happy to source a quote on your behalf.

Venue InformationThe Piggery Café is a non-smoking venue including the café and grounds. Smoking is only allowed in the carpark area. Dogs are permitted in the outdoor areas, provided they are kept on a leash.

EntertainmentBands, DJs and other entertainment are welcomed. The volume of performances is monitored by The Piggery management. Please consult your Event Coordinator prior to booking regarding restrictions.

Event Features and InclusionsAll prices are inclusive of GST.All seated menu prices are inclusive of Burnham Bakery bread as well as tea and coffee at the conclusion of the meal. Our event guests have access to the following facilities:

— Dedicated Event Manager— iPod with pre-selected music or the ability to supply your own music source— Wireless microphone— Printed menus for each guest

Booking and Payment TermsWe are able to hold a date tentatively for a period of seven days, after which time if confirmation has not been received the date will be released. Once advised of your intention to confirm we will send you an Event Agreement. A 25% deposit of the minimum spend of the event is required to secure the booking. The deposit is required within seven days of receipt of your Event Agreement. Pre-payment of the full balance of the minimum spend is required 7 working days prior to the date. Any additional charges incurred must be settled at the conclusion of the event.

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.All cancellations must be made in writing to your eventmanager.

Payment may be made via EFT, cheque or credit card.Credit card transactions incur a 2% surcharge.

Weddings At Burnham BeechesCeremony Fee $800There is a charge for wedding ceremonies in the grounds of Burnham Beeches, which includes a signing table with two chairs for the ceremony plus 20 folding chairs for your guests. Our ceremony site is situated on the lawns outside the Art Deco Mansion.

Staffing Fee $200If you would like beverages to be served prior to or after your ceremony, a staff charge is required for set up and pack down. This fee is in addition to any beverages consumed. Beverage options are limited to sparking wine and mineral water. The time period for drinks is no longer than one hour.

The Piggery Café can cater for up to 110 guests for an exclusive event utilizing our terrace for pre-dinner drinks and standing entrée, followed by a seated main course. Our menu offers the best seasonal local produce and items from the Burnham Beeches estate. Dinner events run from 6.30pm to midnight, for a five hour period.

Beverage package options to extend until midnight:

— Beverage Package 1 $6.00 per person per half hour— Beverage Package 2 $7.00 per person per half hour

Beverage on consumption option:$5.00 per person per half hour plus the charges for beverages consumed. A minimum of 70% of the total guests are required for the time extension to be granted, or $350.00 per half hour, whichever is the greater.

For any time after midnight:The above applies but the minimum per half hour increases to $600.00.

Beverage service and event close times must comply with venue liquor licensing restrictions and all extensions are at the discretion of the Event Manager on the day.
