Our outreach efforts have fired up

the imaginations of many of our

members. Numerous suggestions

were brought to our board meet-

ing last Monday! One outreach will

be held on January 26th in our Fel-

lowship Hall from 5:30 to 8:30.

Bring you favorite board game for

our family game night. There will

be fun, fellowship & FOOD! This

event is for all ages. This is a great

opportunity to invite our friends &

neighbors to our church!

For the second straight week, we had storm warnings on Sunday. This week’s was worse because it actually hit us. Thanks to Jason Walker and Gary Broadwell for shoveling the snow and ice, and to those who were able to brave the “elements.” We had a great turnout despite the poor roads. Next week we will resume our study of “Undeniable Truths.”

This past Lord’s day we were reminded that God is with us through the storms. The song I quoted reminds us of that truth:

In the eye of the storm You remain in control And in the middle of the war You guard my soul You alone are the anchor When my sails are torn Your love surrounds me In the eye of the storm…

When the solid ground is falling out from underneath my feet Between the black skies, and my red eyes, I can barely see

When I realize I've been sold out by my friends and my fami-ly I can feel the rain reminding me In the eye of the storm, You remain in control In the middle of the war, You guard my soul You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn Your love surrounds me In the eye of the storm
