This summer, while your family enjoys
a vacation at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai,
your kids can attend daily programs at
Camp Manitou at Hualalai – an exclusive
partnership with the heralded Camp
Manitou, one of the nation’s foremost
summer camps, founded in Maine in 1947.

focused on group bonding through cultural,
recreational and explorative activities both
at the Resort and throughout Hawai‘i Island.
Kids can attend for a single day or multiple
days. We anticipate 15 to 20 kids at the
camp on any given day.
Each morning, parents drop off their kids
at camp headquarters, where the day starts
with various water activities, breakfast and a
ceremonial flag raising. At day’s end, parents
come back together with their kids to hear
about the day. Then everyone can head off
together to spend the evening as a family.

historical significance. Its natural beauty is provided by sheer sea cliffs, a crystal-clear bay,
and abundant wildlife, including spinner dolphins. The historical significance spans more than
a thousand years and includes the site where famed sea explorer Captain James Cook made
the first recorded European contact with Hawai‘i Island – and also later met his death in a
bizarre twist of fate. From the trailhead, descend 1,300 feet into the heart of the bay. Explore
the ancient Hawaiian villages at the bay’s edge, visit the Captain Cook Monument or jump
