sports is also a Greater Mankato tradition, served up by the area’s high schools and college teams, and each summer - the Mankato MoonDogs baseball team and Minnesota Vikings Training Camp. The Riverfront Park Amphitheater is another popular summer destination, hosting concerts and festivals, including the annual RibFest. Throughout the year, the Verizon Wireless Center, with 5,000 seats and additional meeting spaces, provides a venue not only for Minnesota State University, Mankato Division I hockey, but also concerts, shows and conventions.

ARTS & CULTUREGreater Mankato boasts a thriving arts community, with several public art galleries, dance companies, community choruses, a symphony

orchestra and a theatre group. In addition, area colleges offer outstanding theater, music, dance, visual and written arts programs. While strolling around the City Center, art is all around you with the annual CityArt Walking Sculpture Tour.
