International Conference Vishleshan 2k18 (19th-20th Jan 2018)
IIMS organised a two day International
Conference “Vishleshan 2K18 - Case Study &
Research, evolving world order: perspective
issues and challenges” on January 19-20 2018.
The Conference was organised with an
objective of encouraging the spirit of research
and innovations. The conference took place at
International Institute of Management Studies
campus. Prof. Manish R. Mundada, Founder
president, SaiBalaji Education Society presided
the two-day international conference, stated
that the base of case study could be clearly
understood for solving real-life managerial
challenges.
On first day, the conference stressed the
importance of case study method approach in
teaching in management B-schools. Dozens of
educators, academicians and research
scholars participated in the inaugural
ceremony of Vishleshan. Dr. Pandit
Vidyasagar, Vice Chancellor, SRTM University
was the chief guest on the occasion. He
encouraged students and research scholars by
saying that case studies should be concluded
by thinking multi-directional ways. Dr.
Nagendra V. Chowdary, Vice President &
Head-Academics, Time Professional Learning
(Times of India group) chaired the conference
sessions. Keynote speaker Dr. Pradeep
Pendse, Dean, Welingkar Institute of
Management & Research, Mumbai kicked off
the conference with his talk on mega trends in
world are young millennial, experience
economy, digital economy, nature of work,
lifespan, urbanization and sustainability. The
first prize for Best case was won by Prof. Vijay
Nimbalkar and Prof. Pooja Karekar from
International Institute of Management
Studies, followed by Dr. Tripti Sahoo and Dr.
Curriculum Vitae is said to be a gate pass of
caproate world, It is a must for every
management student to have in perfect
shape. The message percolated by the
renowned speaker on C.V. Making workshop
organised by IIMS for the first years students
on 16th Jan 2018. Students took away
important tips on making effective C.V .

Nitin Ranjan as first runner-up from IIMS. The
second runner-up was Snehal Dalavi and Rajni
Dyanchandani from Singhad School of
Business Management, Pune. A vote of thanks
was proposed by Dr. Tripti Sahoo, conference
conveyor.
On the second day of international
conference, many students and faculties of
different colleges participated in the research
paper presentation. Dr. M.D. Mohitie,
Governing council member of SaiBalaji
Education Society proposed inaugural speech
by highlighting key points to be remembered
while doing case study of business and writing
research papers. He stated that quality case
should be quantify, viable, assumptions with
no verbosity and research should be properly
articulated, organized and systematised so
that research could be applied in real life
problems. Keynote speaker Dr. (Capt) C. M.
Chitale, Professor Emeritus (UGC) addressed
the gathering and said that to provide a global
platform to dissertation and thesis, interest in
research is utmost important. He emphasised
importance of summer internship project (SIP)
as equal to ‘mini research’ for students. This
project act as a ‘passport for job’. To elaborate
more, he specified that research scholars
should prefer systematic development of
literature, training and development and code
of conduct to depict the problem of corporate
world. The first prize was won by MBA student
Aditya Parmar and Dr. Rajesh Tiwari as a joint
authors of the paper from International
Institute of Management Studies, followed by
Dr. Rajesh Tiwari as first runner-up from IIMS.
The second runner-up prize was shared by
PGDM student Siddhant Ambastha from IIMS
and Snehal Chincholakr from Symbosis
University, Pune. A vote of thanks was
proposed by conference conveyor Prof. Abhay
Mishra.

Republic Day Celebration at SBIIMS Campus, 26th Jan 2018
Like every year, SBES celebrated republic day with patriotism and enthusiasm. The invited chief gust
for the function was “Mr. Nagesh.S.Kumar” and Guest of honour Brig. (Dr.)S.K. Ambike. Founder
President, SBES hoisted the flag in presence of guests, faculties, staff and students. In the speech, Mr.
(Dr.)S.K. Ambike talked about the role of youth in society building and appreciated the work done by
the institute in the direction of nation building . Founder President Prof. Manish R. Mundada in his
speech motivated the students to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and in favour of the
national good. After the speeches all enjoyed sweets and cultural performances coloured with
patriotism. This was the right occasion to distribute the prizes to the winners of youth day
competitions. Thus the guests founder president, Directors of all three institutes gave prizes to the
winner and the winners were:

Faculty Development Program on Business Simulation “Chanakya”

To give a cross-functional insight of an
organization and therefore be able to
contribute beyond one’s assigned roles and
competencies. IIMS wanted its faculty to be
able to build on the experience of such an
insight among Faculty members IIMS
organised a 2 days Faculty Development
Program ‘Chanakya’ on 26th Jan 2018.
Faculties took part in the program
enthusiastically and gained insights on the
