Association Inauguration

The EEE Student’s Association for the academic year 2014-15 was inau-

gurated on 18th August 2014. Mr.K.S. Sridharan, Chief Engineer, TVS

Lucas, Padi was the chief guest. The Principal, Dr. E.B. Perumal Pillai

presided over the function.

The third National Conference on Recent Trends in Power Engineering, Power Electronics and Control Systems was conducted on 24th March 2014. Colonel (Retd.) Shri. K. S. Chakravarthy, Chairman, IETE , Chennai Centre was the Chief Guest.

1.Srinivass.p.p, Shanmugasundaram.A and PrasannaVenkatesh.R of II year have pub-

lished a paper in a IOSR journal on “Power Quality Enhancement OF MISO Converter for

Combined UPQC AND Photovoltaic Array” in IOSR JOURNAL of Electrical and Electronics

Engineering(IOSR-JEE),Vol.9,Issue 4 (Jul-Aug. 2014).

2. S.Rebekah Eunice Ruby, V.C.Shanmugapriyaa, S.P.Raghavel have published a paper

on 'Regenerative Braking of DC motor with Renewable sources using Bi-directional Con-

verter' in International Journal of Scientific Research and Management (IJSRM) Volume-

2 Issue-8 August 2014 Pages-1154-1157.

3. S. G. Jashwanth Krishna of IV year has won the II prize in the event circuit debugging

held at Pratyusha Institute of Technology and Management on 26th July 2014.

4. S.R. Chella Kumar of III year has participated in Paper Presentation contest in the Na-

tional Level Symposium held at JNN Institute of Engineering.

5. M.Dhivyalakshmi, R.Anitha, S.Christy, R.N.Chitra, V.Rekha, R.J.Jyoshna and

S.Indhumathi have attended the symposium in SRI Venkateswara College of Engineering

on 23/08/2014.

6. T.Keerthana and K.Ramya took part in a symposium held at Jeppiar Engineering College

held on 21.8.14 and presented a paper on ‘witricity’.

7. K. Ramya,of I year bagged the I prize in Solo dance and II prize in Skit during the intra-

mural competitions held at RMKCET.

8. L. Jagadeesh of II year has participated in the Foot ball match, zonal level competition

held at Jaya Engineering College, during 25-27thof August 2014 and secured the fourth

place with cash prize.

9. J. Prince and Pruthviraj A. J attended a workshop on Embedded systems on 18/07/2014.

10. A. Sangeetha, S. Saranya Devi and C.M. Revathy of II year published the paper “Inrush Current

Mitigation using Multi-Level Inverter” in International Journal of Engineering Research and Tech-

nology, Vol.3, Issue 7(July 2014).

11. R. Nikhila Sai, A syamala Mani and R. Tamil Kani of II year published the paper “Power Inversion

for Solar Electric System Based on MLIT”

course organized at RMKCET on 16/06/2014.

the Refresher course organized at RMKCET on 16/06/2014.

3. Ms.R.Umadevi, Associate Professor delivered lecture on Stress Management during the Refresh-

1. M/s Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. has conducted ‘EIS Road Show for the final year stu-

dents on 24th June 2014 at RMK Engineering College.

2. M/s. Infosys Ltd. Conducted ‘ Infosys Campus Connect foundation program road show

for the third year students on 20th June 2014 at RMK College of Engineering & Technolo-

gy.

3. The Cambridge University has conducted Orientation Program about Business English

certification for the third semester students on 21st June 2014 at RMK College of Engineer-

ing & Technology.

4. M/s. Accenture Services Ltd. Presented ‘Accenture Innovation Jockeys Season-3’ - The

hunt for India’s most Innovation Minds across campuses a competition on the theme”

Digital Government and Internet of things”, for all the students .

5. M/s. Capgemini India Pvt. Ltd. conducted the competition “Capgemini Super Techies

Show Season 3” for all the students.

6. Lab VIEW training program was conducted for 3rd year by the NI certified trainer of EIE

department of RMK EC and resource persons from National Instruments, Bangalore.

7. The National design and research Forum on behalf of the Institution of Engineers (India)

conducted the 45th All India Student Design competition-2014 for the students in final

year and pre-final years on m16th August 2014.

8. M/s. Cognizant Technology solutions conducted the ‘Evolve’ workshop for the final year

students on 26th June 2014.the BEC Vantage Training programme for 3rd semester

9. Mission Possible –Interview skills Improvement Programme for 5th semester students on

6th and 7th of September 2014.

10. Stepping Stone (Engineering Orientation) Programme for 3rd semester students on 26th

June 2014

11. JADE- Personality Development Pat finding Training was conducted on 10th July

12. M/s. Smart Training Resources Ltd. conducted the online Mock test on 7th July 2014 for

the final year students with no arrears on 7th and on 21st July 2014 for students with a max-

imum of 2 arrears.

13. Cognizant –CCSP online examination was conducted on 25th July 2014 for final year stu-

dents.

14. Mock test was conducted for the final year students on 11th August 2014.

15. Cognizant Express Road Show was conducted by M/s. Cognizant Technology Solutions

for the final year students on 11th July 2014.

16. M/s. Mu Sigma Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. conducted the recruitment drive for the post

of Development Engineer/ Research analyst for the final year students on 27th August
