Want to try a new way to Cook that Turkey that promises a juicy result?

1 (12 pound) turkey

Prep. Time to Min.

Cook Time 5 Hrs.

Ready In: 5 Hrs. 10 Min.

Ingredients:

1 (12 pound) whole turkey

6 tablespoons butter, divided

4 cups warm water

3 tablespoons chicken bouillon

2 tablespoons dried parsley

2 tablespoons dried minced onion

2 tablespoons seasoning salt

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Rinse and wash turkey. Discard giblets, or add to pan if they are anyone's favorites. If desired, stuff turkey with your favorite stuffing.

1. Place turkey in a Dutch oven or roasting pan. Separate the skin over the breast to make little pockets. Put 3 tablespoons of butter on both sides between the skin and breast meat. This makes for very juicy breast meat.

2. In a medium bowl, combine the water with the bouillon. Sprinkle in the parsley and minced onion. Pour over the top of the turkey. Sprinkle seasoning salt over the turkey.

3. Cover with foil, and bake in the preheated oven 3 liz to 4 hours, until the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 180 degrees F. For the last 45 minutes uncover turkey and let brown.

Holidays are exciting, and at times stressful. Help can possibly be found with Aromatherapy. Aromatherapy dates back thousands ofyears, where plant and essential oils were used for the purpose of promoting psychological and physical well-being. The Chinese are thought to be the first cultures to use aroma plants for well-being, where they would bum incense to help create harmony and balance. The Egyptians used essential oils for multiple purposes, including the use of oils of cedarwood, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and myrrh to embalm the dead. The Greeks learned much from the Egyptians, including aromas. Hippocrates, commonly called the "father of medicine," practiced "fumigation" for both aroma and medicinal benefit. Ancient perfumers would create mixtures for the aroma, anti-inflammatory and healing benefits. Even today specific mixtures are still being made as an air-freshener, bath or massaging oils. Currently the science world defines aromatherapy as the

"psychology of scent," and have concluded it deals only with the psychological effects achieved through the use of odors that stimulate the smelling pathways to the brain. If you are expecting aromatherapy to cure a major illness or stress, you will probably be in for a disappointment. It can, and often does, complement medical care. Then again, if you expect help with physical condition symptoms such as stress, mood, fatigue, anxiety, fear, skin care, bruises, acne, PMS, or even help to ease nausea during chemotherapy treatments, you may be delighted with the results! Aromatherapy Recipes are plentiful! Here are a few.

Stress-Relieving Recipe: There are several. One bath oil recipe consists of: 3 drops Clary Sage, 1 drop Lemon and 1 drop Lavender. Multiply each ingredient in the blend by 3 to obtain a total of 15 drops.

Sleep a problem? Here is a recipe for an Insomnia Aromatherapy Blend: 10 drops of Roman Chamomile, 5 drops of Clary Sage and 5 drops of Bergamot. Directions: Blend the oils well in a clean dark-colored glass bottle. Add 1 - 2 drops to a tissue and place inside your pillow to aid y,ou in falling asleep. Caution: Lavender can help provide relaxation and drowsiness, but using more than 1 2 drops can have the opposite effect!

Fear of the dentist? Have you not met Dr. Bob and Dr. Mark? Still concerned? Try a recipe that promotes relaxation and calmness: 2 drops Clary Sage, 2 drops Roman Chamomile and 1 drop Vetiver. The mixture can be made into a massaging oil by multiplying the blend by 2 to obtain a total of 10 drops.
