PGD (Pre implantation genetic diagnosis)

IUI involves prepartion of semen sample in culture media and placing best quality spermatozoa in the uterus close to the time of release of eggs. In IVF, the eggs are taken out through vagina, mixed with spermatozoa and grown in the laboratory. The embryo is then replaced to the uterus. In ICSI, which is particularly useful for semen problems, each egg is injected with a single spermatozoa

and embryo can thus be formed. Natural cycle/ minimal stimulating IVF is a novel approach for obtaining high quality embryos from poor responders patients with increased age & increased FSH levels Freezing of extra embryos in IVF/ICSI cycles allows for their use in subsequent cycles without the need for multiple injections. In blastocyst culture, embryos are grown in the laboratory in stringent conditions for longer period to help improve pregnancy rates. In assisted laser hatching, the outer cover of embryo is thinned out with the help of laser, which again helps to improve pregnancy rates.
