Gandhi’s Early Life

I found it interesting to see find out about Ghandhi’s childhood.

He had an arranged marriage and his father died while Gandhi was sleeping with his wife, which lead to some guilt.

Both mother and father were religious and Gandhi intertwined multiple religions.

Gandhi went to law school in South Africa and that had a big impact on his life.

Mandela’s Controlled Appearance

Nelson Mandela was very intentional and what he wore and how he was viewed.

He made sure that he was portrayed as a man of the people.

One time he wore the star players rugby jersey when he attended on of the games.

The author emphasized how much effort and stress he put on being perfectly dressed.

Gandhi’s Philosophy

Gandhi spent a great deal of time and effort thinking about truth.

The outcome was making truth “god” and of all importance of the universe.

Gandhi was very spiritual and blended ideas from different religions together to form his views.

Even his idea of satyagrahais based on morals and spirituality.
