Original Picture/Layout

We used this software to gain an understanding of photo editing software. Here we have imported a picture of our artists into the software. It clearly provides a list of features that we can use.

Crop

We are able to cut down the picture into what we want. An arrow/border helps to show us where we are cutting the picture.

It also provides measurements of the photo before and after.

We are able to increase the zoom of the picture and crop the exact image we want.

Rotate

Here we can use the rotate tool to manipulate the photo.

It provides an easy layout with self-explanatory symbols.

Exposure

We can create various lighting effects with this tool.

This provides an easy layout of the effects we can use, using a slide bar to edit the photo.

Edited

This tool helps us bring out features and aspects that the original photo does not pick up.

Colour Correction

We are able to manipulate the image to create different styles and effects.

A very simple layout which features a slide bar for accurate correction.

This tool enables us to create more detailed and eye-catching photos.

Featuring clear tools and labels, with a slide bar which can be used for accuracy.

The photo becomes clearer and more detailed with simple changes.

Resize

A simple tool which enables us to change the photos size so we can add it to work.

Uses pixel counts to display the size which can be changed.

Starts with original size and can always go back to it, in case of a mistake.

Features

Crop feature uses simple layout, can also use a pixel count or arrows.

Rotate features an easy layout with self-explanatory buttons and a slide bar for accuracy.

Basic effects feature a simple slide bar for accuracy which is very easy to use.

Fine tuning the picture is easy with a simple slide bar tool for accuracy.

Colour correction also features slide bars which can be used easily and accurately.

There’s also a curve tool which changes the brightness in certain areas.

What did we learn

Software is essential in creating a crisp, clear, professional looking photo.

Using multiple software to gain experience is essential in becoming good at editing photos.

Experimenting with tools is essential as you will learn not only how to use them but may stumble over something that will make your work better with further quality.

Use of some tools are harder than other such as curve as accuracy on the computers mouse is not as clean.

Colour correction and sharpness was essential in creating a well-edited image as it looks more professional.
