Introduction: My philosophy on Early Childhood Education is inspired by Jean
Piaget. I am influenced by a play based environment for children. I truly am grateful for
our education which allows us to teach young children and inspire them to achieve great
aspirations through experiential learning. When I envision my core values on Early
Childhood Education I strongly believe in partnership and caring for children. Standing
side by side with children and guiding them through their education, and to help them
create a world of talents, expectations and strengths by being their partner in their
everyday lives. By guiding children I need to provide a strong and vital role of caring for
all children, sustaining emotional support at all times and modeling social and emotional
expression.
In Summary: my supporting values are: Trust, Communication, Safety and
Passion. Trusting relationships are important to me in my philosophy because it allows
children to want to be in the learning environment. Communication gives me and the
children the ability to communicate with each other (as well as parents and colleagues) to
provide support and team work. It is important for children to feel safe so that they can
learn in their optimal comfort zone. It is important because children can successfully be
guided into learning within the classroom and in life.
