Assessments of Praccal / Clinical Skills: Workplace-Based Assessment Registraon Fees SMC CME / CNE / CPE accreditation are being finalised Course Descripon Evaluating the clinical performance of trainee doctors and health professionals’, based on objective, valid, reliable and impactful assessment tools is important in current practice environments. This interactive workshop will explore current workplace-based assessment tools taking examples from best practices across the globe. It will include the workplace-based assessment tools, and also the opportunity to discuss the challenges faced when using these types of assessments. Aims of the workshop Participants will get an overview about the types of assessment formats and assessment toolkits - including the utility value of each tool & how these could be phased in thematically as part of competency based progression for health professional training. Learning Outcomes After this workshop participants will be able to: discuss the underpinning educational theories behind workplace-based assessments (WBA) evaluate & provide feedback to a trainee using WBAs discuss the strengths and limitations of different WBAs apply skills learnt to one's own practice environment Cancellations received on or before 8 May 2021: Full refund (less off $50 admin fee). Cancellations received between 9 May—7 Jun 2021: Refund of 50% of the workshop fee. Cancellations between 8 Jun—7 July 2021: No refund. Any cancellation or replacement must be conveyed in writing to the organiser. Registration can be only confirmed upon full payment.
