    Warm and friendly character

    Ask comprehension check questions (CCQs)

    before starting an activity

    Notes:Good verbal cue (T: 1, 2, 3)

Your warm-up activity was great. I think its always a good idea to get students out of chairs when

possible. Also, asking students decision making questions encouraged them to have critical thinking.

Providing written instructions on PPT was helpful before you have students start an activity.

During matching cards activity, it was excellent that you provided scaffolding for the students with CCQs,

examples and pictures when you check students answers.

It was great that you used your co-teacher to model the pair work activity. If students have a visual

representation of what is expected of them they will be more likely to understand what to do.

I think it was a good idea to do a quick explanation whenever you had new vocabulary that may be

    unfamiliar with students.

You found a great video which is educational and some challenges (fast speed) keep high level students

motivated. In addition, it was excellent how you set up the video clip and provided students with a task as

they watch the clip, so that they dont just watch the clip blindly.

Your final activity (Being a blind painter) was awesome Students had so much fun with drawing but at

the same time the activity allowed for students to promote speaking and active listening skills.

Your class management system seems to be very effective. Your stamps coupon system acts to both

motivate students to participate as well as discourage negative behavior. This kind of system helps to

promote the type of classroom culture you want to set.

I want to encourage you to ask CCQs after you explain/model activities and before students begin the

activity. Asking specific questions about important steps will help you determine if students understand

    the task at hand.
