DEAR PARENTS• Aft er-School activities this term include: GAA Football,

Sports Club, French Club and Knitting Club.• We are legally obliged to notify the Education Welfare

Off icer of 20 days’ absences.• Please bring your child(ren) to school on-time. Every child

should be in the hall by 8.45am. Pupils enjoy talking to their friends at this time.

• For extra security for all of us, the internal blue doors leading to the SALIChildcare corridor will be LOCKED every morning aft er classes go to their class at 8.50am. If you are late, please enter via the back door for the Primary School.

• Pupils are to wear their full school uniform this term, except for PE days

• The next meeting for The Parents’ Association will take place on Tuesday, 26th April at 1pm in the Parents’ Room. Please come along.

• Please follow us on Twitter and Facebook!• Literacy Course in the Parents’ Room every Tuesday from

9.15am to 11am. All levels are welcome.• 5km walk/run every Wednesday at the running track in

Westside.• Please check out the Parents’ Notice Board in the Parents’

• Well done to all the parents and pupils who helped in the Roof-Top Garden – the daff odils are now in full bloom.

• Our classes for next year are all very nearly full. If you need to enrol a child please contact us immediately.

SPORTWe wish our girls football team and M. Nora good luck on Friday as they take part in the Cumann na mBunscol Mini-Sevens. Alyssa Fahy won 2nd place in The White Tiger Karate Competition. Katie Folan won a gold medal for running the 5K race on Inis Meáin. Alima Agboola in Room 12 won County Indoor medals for Long Jump and Sprint 60m. Well done girls!

NEWS FROM OUR CLASSROOMS• Bhí sult agus craic againn le haghaidh Seachtain na Gaeilge.

All classes performed Irish songs and poems on stage in the hall. Senior classes participated in Tráth na gCeist.

• All classes enjoyed ‘The Raising of the Flag’ ceremony. Thank you for joining us.

• Rooms 5 & 11 are busy preparing for confiramtion & First Holy Communion.

• Rooms 11 & 12 visited Easons to listen to a reading by children’s author ‘Sarah Agnew.’

• Room 16 enjoyed learning about the bones that make up the human body.

• Room 4 enjoyed making their Easter and St. Patrick’s Day Art.

• All infant classes have Spanish Student Teachers visiting them. Welcome! Room 9 are learning Flamenco dancing with Angeles!

• Room 3 welcome Guilherme to their class.• 1st to 6th Class were given a presentation on Green

Sustainable Travel to School by Tiernan Mc Cusker.• A Bike Maintenance Workshop will take place for 2nd

to 6th Class on Tuesday, 19th April.

BRAVE CHILDRENSix brave children walked to school on our April Fit on Friday Walk with Múinteoir Siobhán. It was a very wet morning. Well done to Kelsey, Beille, Abigail, Denas, Raita and Raid!
