Founded in 1956 by U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower, as part of the
U.S. Information Agency. In 1961 People to People was privatized as a
NGO (People to People International). Former President Eisenhower was
the 1st Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Purpose:
To enhance international understanding and friendship through
educational, cultural and humanitarian activities involving the exchange
of ideas and experiences directly among peoples of different counties.

Mission of the China Delegation:
To develop ongoing professional relationships that will lead to the
improvement of workplace processes and reduce the number of injuries,
illnesses, and fatalities in both countries.
Seek to exchange ideas, best practices, and concepts relating to
occupational safety and health management.
Meet with government ministries and net work safety professional counter
parts.
