Abu 'Afak was one of B. 'Amr b. 'Auf of the B. 'Ubayda clan. He showed his disaffection when the apostle killed al-Harith b. Suwayd b. Samit.. The apostle said: 'Who will deal with this rascal for me?' whereupon Salim b. 'Umayr, brother of B. 'Amr b. 'Auf one of the 'weepers', went forth and killed him.

Abu 'Afak fut l'un des B. 'Amr b. 'Auf du clan de B. 'Ubayda. Il a montré sa désaffection quand l'apôtre a tué al-Harith b. Souwayd b. Samit .. L'apôtre dit: 'Qui va faire face à ce coquin pour moi?' à la suite de quoi Salim b. 'Umayr, frère de B.' Amr b. 'Auf l'un des 'pleureurs', sortit et le tua.

Abu Afak, was from Banu Amr Ibn Awf, and was an old man who had attained the age of one hundred and twenty years. He was a Jew, and used to instigate the people against the Apostle of Allah, and composed )satirical( verses )about Muhammad(. Salim Ibn Umayr who was one of the great weepers and who had participated in Badr, said, "I take a vow that I shall either kill Abu Afak or die before him. He waited for an opportunity until a hot night came, and Abu Afak slept in an open place. Salim Ibn Umayr knew it, so he placed the sword on his liver and pressed it till it reached his bed. The enemy of Allah screamed and the people who were his followers, rushed to him, took him to his house and interred him.

Abu Afak, était originaire de Banu Amr Ibn Awf, et était un vieil homme qui avait atteint l'âge de cent vingt ans. Il était un Juif, et il suscitait les gens contre l'Apôtre d'Allah, et composait des versets )satirique contre Mahomet(. Salim Ibn Umayr qui fut l'un des grands pleureurs et qui avait participé à Badr, déclara: "Je prends le vœu de tuer Abu Afak ou de mourir avant lui. Il attendit une occasion jusqu'à l'arrivée d'une nuit chaude, Abu Afak dormait dans un lieu ouvert. Salim Ibn Umayr le savait, il plaça l'épée sur son foie et la pressa jusqu'à ce qu'elle atteignit son lit. l'ennemi d'Allah cria et les gens, ses disciples, se précipitèrent vers lui, le rentrèrent dans sa maison et l'enterrèrent.

محمد مع الفجر ليصلي ذهب اإلسالم ثم رسول له و ": فقال الله نصرت عمير يا "رسوله


ابنة من لي آخذ أال ، ذلك بلغه حين وسلم عليه الله صلى الله رسول فقالعدي بن عمير وسلم عليه الله صلى الله رسول قول من ذلك فسمع ؟ مروان

When the apostle heard what she had said he said, 'Who will rid me of Marwan's daughter?' 'Umayr b. 'Adiy al-Khatmi who was with him heard him, and that very night he went to her house and killed her. Quand l'apôtre entendit ce qu'elle avait dit, il dit: 'Qui me débarrassera de la fille de Marwan? 'Umayr b. 'Adiy al-Khatmi qui était avec lui l'a entendu, et cette nuit même il est allé à sa maison et l'a tuée. Dans la matinée, il est venu à l'apôtre et lui a dit ce qu'il avait fait et il a dit, 'Vous avez aidé Dieu et Son messager, O 'Umayr!'

عليه وتحرض النبي جوف الشعر وتقولوتؤذي في عدي بن عمير فجاءها ، عليها دخل حتى في بيتها، الليل ترضعه من منهم ولدها من نفر وحولها

عنها صدرها الصبي ونحى البصر، ضرير وكان بيده، فجسها على ، سيفه ووضع النبي مع الصبح صلى ثم ظهرها، من أنفذه حتى عليه صدرها الله صلى ،

: ابنة أقتلت وسلم عليه الله صلى الله، رسول له فقال بالمدينة وسلم، : نعم قال ،مروان؟


`Asma' was the wife of Yazid Ibn Zayd Ibn Hisn al-Khatmi. She used to revile Islam, offend the prophet and instigate the )people( against him. She composed verses. Umayr Ibn Adi came to her in the night and entered her house. Her children were sleeping around her. There was one whom she was suckling. He searched her with his hand because he was blind, and separated the child from her. He thrust his sword in her chest till it pierced up to her back. Then he offered the morning prayers with the prophet at al-Medina. The apostle of Allah said to him: "Have you slain the daughter of Marwan?" He said: "Yes!"

'Asma était l'épouse de Yazid Ibn Zayd Ibn Hisn al-Khatmi. Elle insultait l'Islam, offensait le prophète et suscitait )les gens( contre lui. Elle composait des vers. Umayr Ibn Adi alla chez elle la nuit et entra dans sa maison. Ses enfants dormaient autour





d'elle, et elle allaitait l'un d'eux. Il la chercha avec sa main parce qu'il était aveugle, et éloigna d'elle l'enfant. Il enfonça son épée dans sa poitrine jusqu'à ce qu'elle perça son dos. Puis il alla offrir les prières du matin avec le prophète à Médine. L'apôtre d'Allah lui dit: "Avez-vous tué la fille de Marwan?" Il dit: "Oui!"

جنابة : من غسل رأسه يمس ال أن آلى حارثة بن زيد قدم فلما إسحاق ابن قالعليه الله صلى الله رسول بعثه جراحته من استبل فلما ، فزارة بني يغزو حتى

وقتل ، فيهم وأصاب ، القرى بوادي فقتلهم ، جيش في فزارة بني إلى وسلم ، بدر بن حذيفة بن مالك بن حكمة بن مسعدة اليعمري المسحر بن قيس

بن مالك عند كبيرة عجوزا كانت ، بدر بن ربيعة بنت فاطمة قرفة أم وأسرتبن قيس حارثة بن زيد فأمر ، مسعدة بن الله وعبد ، لها وبنت ، بدر بن حذيفة

الله رسول على قدموا ثم ؛ عنيفا قتال فقتلها ، قرفة أم يقتل أن المسحرقرفة أم بابنة وسلم عليه الله مسعدة ، صلى وبابن .

Umm Qirfa Fatima d. Rabi'a b. Badr was taken prisoner. She was a very old woman, wife of Malik. Her daughter and 'Abdullah b. Mas'ada were also taken. قرفة أم بن وأخذوا مالك بنت جارية وابنتها بدر، بن ربيعة بنت فاطمة وهي ، الله، لرسول فوهبها األكوع بن مسلمة الجارية أخذ الذي فكان بدر، بن حذيفة

وعمد وهب، أبي بن لحزن ذلك بعد الله رسول فوهبها وسلم، عليه الله صلىقرفة أم إلى المحسر بن : قيس ربط عنيفا قتال فقتلها كبيرة، عجوز وهي ،

فقطعاها، فذهبا زجرهما ثم بعيرين بين ربطها ثم حبال رجليها وقتل بين ابني الله وعبيد النعمان


She )Um Kerfa( was a very old lady, and he killed her violently: he tied a rope between her feet then he tied her between two camels, then he hit the camels so they cut her.

Elle )Um Kerfa( était une très vieille dame, et il l'a tuée violemment: il a attaché une corde entre ses pieds, puis il l'attacha entre deux chameaux, ensuite il a frappé les chameaux alors ils l'ont coupée.

بن حذيفة بن مالك عند وكانت بدر بن ربيعة بنت فاطمة وهي قرفة أم وأسرمسعدة بن وعبدالله لها وبنتا كبيرة عجوزا أم بدر يقتل أن حارثة بن زيد فأمر

حتى بعيرين إلى ربطهما ثم حبلين برجليها ربط عنيفا قتال فقتلها قرفةقرفة أم بابنة سلم و عليه الله صلى الله رسول على قدموا ثم شقاها

مسعدة بن وبعبدالله


Then he ordered Zayd bin Haritha to kill Um Kerfa, so he killed her violently, he tied two ropes to her feet then he tied them to two camels till they split her. Then they came to the messenger of Allah with the daughter of Um Kerfa..

Puis il ordonna Zayd bin Haritha de tuer Um Kerfa, alors il l'a tuée violemment, il a attaché deux cordes à ses pieds, puis il les a attachés à deux chameaux jusqu'à ce qu'ils l'ont scindée. Puis ils sont venus au messager d'Allah avec la fille d'Um Kerfa..

وأرسل - قرفة أم وقتل فقتلهم حارثة بن زيد ص الله رسول إليهم فأرسلرمحين - بين بالمدينة فنصبه ص الله رسول إلى بدرعها


The messenger of Allah sent Zayd Bin Haritha to them, so he killed them and he killed Um Kerfa and sent her robe to the messenger of Allah who erected it in the city between two spears.

Le messager d'Allah leur a envoyé Zayd ben Haritha, alors il les a tués et il a tué Um Kerfa et a envoyé sa robe au messager d'Allah qui l'a érigée en ville entre deux lances.

وسلم عليه الله صلى عريانا الله ثوبه عريانا يجر رأيته ما ،الله ظفره بما فأخبره سأله ثم وقبله اعتنقه حتى ، . قبلها


Narrated Aisha:Zayd came and knocked on the door, so the prophet rose up to meet him, dragging his robe, naked. I've never seen him naked before. He hugged him, kissed him and asked him )for the news(. So he told him about the victory granted to him by Allah )the death of Um Kerfa(.

Aïcha a relaté: Zayd vint frapper à la porte, alors le prophète se leva à sa rencontre traînant sa robe et tout nu. Je ne l'avais jamais vu nu auparavant. Il l'a pris dans ses bras, l'embrassa et lui demanda )des nouvelles(. Alors il lui a parlé de la victoire qui lui a été accordée par Allah )la mort d'Um Kerfa(.
