Prepared By:"CHEMENGLOVER" for "ASPEN V7" windows XP Installation procedure (ASA)

1/ disable antivirus & firewall

2/ copy "Aspen 2008" on your computer and safe remove any "Flash" or "External Hard"

3/ If it is not the first time that you install "Aspen suite" on your computer hence "Uninstall" the previous version

and any "sentinel system driver" from "Add and Remove Programs" section (Start-->Control Panel --> Add and

Remove Programs"

4/ Also remove all the following folders:

X:\Program files\Common Files\Hyprotech

X:\Program files\Common Files\Hyprotech Software

X:\Program files\Common Files\AspenTech Shared

X:\Program files\Common Files\Hyprotech

X:\Program files\Common Files\Aspen

X:\Program files\Hyprotech

X:\Program files\AspenTech

5/ "Netframework" version 1&2&3 must be installed on the computer (which could be download from Microsoft

web site easily)

6/ Restart the computer

7/ install C:\Aspen 2008\SLM\Server Install 7.2.1\Setup8/ copy & paste "lservrc" from "C:\Aspen 2008\SLM\license\lservrc " in the following path:

C:\Program Files\Rainbow Technologies\SentinelLM 7.2.0.1 Server\English\

9/ Restart the computer

run the "ASPEN_ LicGEN" from "C:\Aspen 2008\License Generator\MAG-56002-sea

Be patient it take a few minutes to generate the "License" file

when "License " file generation finished , press any key

note that any generated "License" file is valid for the computer that the file is generated on it

copyc

copy & paste the generated "license" file on the above folder

create a folder on the "C:\Program Files\ Aspen Tech\ License"

select the highlighted icon from copied file "Aspen 2008\ dvdBrowser"

click on "Products" tab

click on "OK"

Click "Next"

Select "Both" radio button then click "Next"

click on "Add License" and browse the copied generated License file on the following path:

"C:\ Program Files\ Aspen tech\ License\ LSERVRC_..._...."

Write" 127.0.01" in "License Server" box

click on "Add Server" then click "Next"

License reading will start

when license reading completed click "Next"

click on "Products" tab --> Aspen Engineering --> Install"

select "Yes" --> "Next"

select "Standard Install" --> "Next"

Browse "C:\Program Files\ Aspen tech" --> "Next"

"Feature Selection " window will appear

click on each feature and select "This feature, and all subfolders, will be installed on local hard drive"

Choose a name for "Aspen framework server" --> click "Next"

select "Slip username/password validation" --> click "Next"

Click "Yes" , the computer will restart

configure "SLM" from the following path:

start--> All Programs --> AspenTech --> Common Utilities --> SLM configuration Wizard

write "127.0.01" on Server box --> click "Add"--> click "Next"

"Restart" the computer

the program add another user as "AZ_SHMIA-EXP" that is password protected

login from the current "User" (VGN-A230P) for example

As run one of the "AspenTech" soft wares for first time following window will appear

you can select "Register Later" or "Next " and fill in the required steps
