Designed and manufactured according to ISO 5172.Harris offers torches specifically designed for the best performance possible with each fuel gas:

Equal pressure system with acetylene and alternative fuel:• Head mixing• Equal pressure mixing of oxygen and fuel gas is extremely resistant to backfire • Torch can be used with all fuel gases - just change the tips

Typical “E” Mixer DesignTo thoroughly mix the oxygen and fuel gas, “E” mixer designs rely on equal pressure control of both oxygen and fuel gas Both gases enter the mixing chamber at controlled pressures. “E” mixers allow the end-user greater control of the oxy/fuel ratio. This feature has an advantage in applications where a very carburizing or oxidizing flame is required. Also, because of their higher potential flow rates, “E” mixers are required for high flow heating applications. This design is primarily used with acetylene but can also be used with alternative fuels when positive pressure control of the fuel gas is available.

Oxy-Welding Hose

HARRIS Twin Oxy-Welding Hose

In applications performed with oxy-gas equipment, although usage of twin oxy-welding hoses is necessary, unfortunately mostly it is seen that operators prefer air hoses.

While the material of air hoses is polyvinyl chloride, twin oxy-welding hoses are manufactured from rubber. Tiny hot work pieces/sparks falling on to the air hoses nestle into the hose by rapidly melting down the PVC. In this situation, tiny hot work pieces/sparks that reach the gas within the hose may cause fire or explosion. In synthetic rubber welding hoses, tiny hot work pieces/sparks falling on to the hose drop down by slipping over the hose where they contact. Thus, in case of any danger, twin oxy-welding hoses minimize explosion risk as well as save time for the operator to take necessary precautions against danger. Therefore, usage of twin oxy-welding hose in oxy-gas systems is highly important in terms of occupational safety.

Welding hoses consist of two adherent hoses. One of these hoses is in blue color that indicates oxygen gas. Other’s color varies depending on the type of fuel gas. Turkish Standards Institution has been certifying twin oxy-welding hoses according to EN ISO 3821 as of 07.18.2013. Harris twin oxy-gas welding hoses are also manufactured according to EN ISO 3821. Twin oxy-gas welding hoses used in oxy-gas systems of all manufacturing facilities that are audited within the framework of 6331 numbered occupational safety law are required to be in conformity with EN ISO 3821.

Oxy-Welding Hose

HARRIS Twin Oxy-Welding Hose

In applications performed with oxy-gas equipment, although usage of twin oxy-welding hoses is necessary, unfortunately mostly it is seen that operators prefer air hoses.

While the material of air hoses is polyvinyl chloride, twin oxy-welding hoses are manufactured from rubber. Tiny hot work pieces/sparks falling on to the air hoses nestle into the hose by rapidly melting down the PVC. In this situation, tiny hot work pieces/sparks that reach the gas within the hose may cause fire or explosion. In synthetic rubber welding hoses, tiny hot work pieces/sparks falling on to the hose drop down by slipping over the hose where they contact. Thus, in case of any danger, twin oxy-welding hoses minimize explosion risk as well as save time for the operator to take necessary precautions against danger. Therefore, usage of twin oxy-welding hose in oxy-gas systems is highly important in terms of occupational safety.

Welding hoses consist of two adherent hoses. One of these hoses is in blue color that indicates oxygen gas. Other’s color varies depending on the type of fuel gas.
