Asian Journal of Economics and Finance (AJEF) invites submission of papers on theoretical and applied/empirical economics and finance and related fields, such as accounting that are of high scientific quality. Papers on the policy relevance of the findings are also welcome. The AJEF is an international, peer-reviewed journal at the forefront of economic and finance research, fostering discussion on advances in research which have a significant, long-term impact. With papers from both economists and finance experts, AJEF represents a focal point for understanding issues involved in the developments of certain area in economics and finance, providing a global perspective on economic and financial questions at national and international levels.

AJEF journal focuses, but is not restricted, on the following topics:

Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, Central Banking, Corporate Finance, International Finance, Open Macroeconomics, Economic Policy, International Monetary Systems, Financial Institutions, Banking, International Banking, Banking Regulation, Capital and Money Markets, Real Estate Finance and Investments, Financial Derivatives, Commodity Markets, Theoretical and Applied Econometrics, Public Finance, Fiscal Policy, International Financial Stability, Financial Economics.

All papers submitted to AJEF undergo a rigorous peer review process by leading experts. The review process normally takes 4 to 8 weeks. When the review process is complete, the Editor-in-Chief will inform the author(s) about the results of the evaluation process. Based on each reviewer's evaluation, the Editor will accept the manuscript for publication (without any improvement, with minor revision, or with major revisions) or will reject it.

Submission of a paper will be held to imply that it contains original unpublished work and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere. The Journal does not accept responsibility for damage or loss of papers submitted. Submitted manuscripts that exceed 25 pages cannot be considered.Submission of a paper accompanied with a disk is encouraged. The paper file should be in MS-WORD or PDF format.Manuscripts should be double spaced, with wide margins, and printed on one side of the paper only. All pages should be numbered consecutively. Titles and subtitles should be kept as short as possible. References, tables, and figures should be printed on separate pages.The first page of the manuscript should contain the following information: (1) the title, (2) the name(s) and institutional affiliation(s) of the author(s), (3) an abstract of not more than 100 words, (4) up to 4 key words, and (5) up to three JEL classification codes. A footnote should also provide information on the name, address, telephone number, fax number, and E-mail address of the corresponding author.Footnotes should be kept to a minimum and numbered consecutively throughout the text with superscript Arabic numerals. They should appear at the end of the main text and should not include tables, figures or formulae.Formulae should be numbered consecutively throughout the manuscript as (1), (2), … against the right-hand margin of the page. If the derivation of the formulae has been abbreviated, the full derivation should be presented on an Appendix.References should appear in the text as Smith (1992) or Smith et al. (1998). The author should make sure that there is a strict one-to-one correspondence between the names and the years in the text and those on the reference list. The reference list should appear at the end of the main text, before tables and figures. It should be listed in alphabetical order by author’s name.
