The Congress Committee led by Congress Chairman Dato’ Syed A L Alsagoff, plan to formulate a scientific programme that will focus on Symposia and Instructional lectures given by distinguished speakers from across the world. The scientific sessions will be dedicated to the fields of orthopaedic trauma, sports injuries, paediatric orthopaedics, orthopaedic oncology, hip, knee, spine, hand & wrist, shoulder & elbow, foot & ankle, general orthopaedics and orthopaedic research. This mega event will attract global leaders to participate and exchange expertise and to launch brilliant new ideas together.
APOA 2021 will present to the young and budding orthopaedic surgeons, an opportunity to interact with experts from across the globe. It will be a unique chance to share and enhance knowledge on the latest international research and developments.
Apart from the invigorating scientific
programme, APOA 2021 will also offer its attendees an unforgettable cultural agastronomic experience. Malaysia is ‘truly Asia’.
In Malaysia there is no meeting without eating; food is in the variety and people have good taste for food. So come and savour a bite.
On behalf of the Central Organising Committee, I would like to extend a sincere invitation to all of you, to join us at APOA 2021. I am sure that this scientific extravaganza, under the dynamic stewardship of Dr David Choon, will advance orthopaedic knowledge and forge new friendships.
I look forward to meeting you in the beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur.
Mahmut Nedim Doral, MD

WELCOMEMESSAGEFROM THEPRESIDENTOF APOA
The Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA) plays a pivotal role in creating a platform of communication and networking for the orthopaedic community in the Asia Pacific region and all over the world. The APOA organises a biennial congress which brings together orthopaedic surgeons, scientists, researchers, allied healthcare professionals, and nurses to share their expertise, experiences, and knowledge on the science and practice of orthopaedic surgery and its subspecialties in the midst of ever-developing medical management and innovations today.
The 21st Biennial Congress of the APOA will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At this Congress, we aim to provide a plethora of scientific sessions for all the specialties of orthopaedic surgery where senior surgeons can impart their expertise and junior surgeons can learn and debate issues. There will also be keynote addresses, plenary lectures, symposia, live workshops, and opportunities for the participants to present their research work at the free paper sessions.
We greatly welcome your support and contribution. We will provide an ideal platform for you to be part of a premier congress to promote and market your products, innovations, and services to 1,500 delegates from across Asia Pacific and beyond, network and expand your connections with key orthopaedic leaders, surgeons, scientists, researchers, affiliated healthcare professionals, and other business professionals from different countries, meet key affiliations of the APOA and strengthen business relationships with existing customers, establish your corporate presence in the Asia Pacific region, and know your competitors and update developments within the global and local industry.
Together with my Organising and Scientific Committee, it is our privilege and honour to welcome you to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 29th July to 1st August 2021.
