We are certain that the new apprenticeship scheme provides an enormous opportunity to accelerate the development of the people and skills you need for your organisation to succeed in today’s complex, uncertain, and fast-changing world. Through our longstanding heritage and award-winning expertise in executive education, we are best equipped to help you at each stage of this journey. We want to ensure that you get the most out of this transformation in U.K. education, not only by maximising your return on investment in time, money and expertise, but also by delivering real value to your organisation. Ashridge Executive Education, part of Hult International Business School, has been helping to develop leaders for more than 50 years at the Ashridge Estate, an incredible location which inspires learning. Our research and pedagogy have always had two goals: to improve how organisations perform, and how executives lead. Each year, Ashridge works with two-thirds of the FTSE 100 companies, over 850 corporate clients and 6,500 executives across the globe. Our strength lies in translating our ground-breaking thinking into practice to help your organisation perform at the highest level and develop leaders for the future.
The U.K. Apprenticeship Levy means new business opportunities The introduction of the apprenticeship levy in April 2017 has caused a shakeup in workplace learning and development. As an employer, whether you are an apprenticeship levy payer or not, your greatest asset is your workforce.

Relevant research
Research at Ashridge is focused on changing behaviours and improving organisational performance; identifying solutions to real problems facing businesses today. Our research plays a vital role in developing new insights and leading-edge approaches, as well as answering the questions that are central in leaders’ minds. A wide range of projects and themes are covered that are critical to personal and organisational success in today’s competitive, fast moving climate.
A focus on ROI for your business
We focus on results and impact. We design content and processes which link learning to action. We know that the programme must have a significant impact on your organisation and your people. This is why Ashridge’s practical, application-based approach is so valued by our clients. As a fundamental principle, you can expect more time dedicated to experience and application than theoretical input.
We strive to be the most relevant business school in the world. Ashridge ranks within the top 20 business schools worldwide for workplace education and is among 1% of institutions globally to be triple accredited by EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA—highly regarded, international hallmarks of educational excellence.
The Ashridge difference
Unique experiential learning
We pioneered experiential learning and have been perfecting it for over 50 years. Neuroscience-inspired experiential learning pushes participants out of their comfort zone, improving the stickiness of their learning.
Impact-driven teaching
A key focus of our programmes is the encouragement of self-directed learning and development of a learning culture. We make theoretical content easy to digest by inviting participants to reflect critically on theory and practice. Our degree apprenticeships focus on immediate practical application, enabling participants to transfer insight and knowledge to your organisation as they study.
Pragmatic faculty
Our practitioner faculty bring a wealth of experience from both industry and academia, as well as a desire to develop in-depth understanding of the challenges your organisation faces. They bring real-world wisdom to help individuals step up a gear, make changes, and achieve results.

Ashridge continues to be at the forefront of leadership and management research and education, applying a practical approach to pedagogy and emphasising the relevance of work-based learning.
Degree Apprenticeships at Ashridge
Despite the fact that the Degree Apprenticeship scheme is relatively new, Ashridge is renowned for producing high quality management education since its inception more than 50 years ago, with a strong focus on work-based, action, and experiential learning.
Thus, the degree apprenticeship model is playing to our strengths by allowing us to further leverage our long-standing heritage in creating and delivering highly impactful programs, specifically designed for working professionals, both in a physical and virtual environment.
Thanks to our long-standing experience of customising programmes for our global network of clients, we are delighted to offer the option of closed cohorts for those clients, who wish to develop the management and leadership skills of entire groups of employees (minimum of 50 people). This ensures that the content is complementary to existing development programmes, relevant to the context of your industry, and reflective of the culture and values of your organisation. Closed cohorts also allow for more flexibility with regards to delivery dates and the possibility of in-house teaching at a venue of your choice.
We aim to ensure that your organisation gets the most out of the Apprenticeship Levy, whether you are a levy payer or not, by providing an outstanding experience to our students and creating real, immediate, and long-lasting impact at an individual and company level.
We have designed a Bachelors (level 6) and a Masters (level 7) Degree which fulfil the Degree Apprenticeship Standards, while also matching the academic rigour of a triple accredited business school. Programmes are delivered through a flexible blend of virtual classes and face-to-face workshops at our historic Ashridge Estate campus, which sits on 190 acres of opulent gardens and woodlands.

Module 1: Strategy & Marketing
The impact of digital technologies and the evolving global environment require businesses to adopt an agile and dynamic approach to strategy and marketing, two fundamental building blocks for successful organisations and drivers for growth and competitiveness. The aim is enable students to implement the strategic intent of their organisation. Module 2: Leadership 2030
The module critically discusses a range of influential leadership theories and models, while exploring their implications in the face of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and other socio-economic and political disruptions. Engaging students’ self-inquiry into their own leadership style, it also focuses on the development of effective inter-disciplinary teams. Module 3: Business Finance
This course provides senior managers with the right tools to make informed decisions on new business streams and project opportunities which will impact the organisation’s underlying value and risk profile. Covering financial forecasting, capital budgeting, scenario development, valuation, and financial policy, it enables students to communicate effectively with financial specialists. Module 4: Innovation & Digital Transformation
This course aims to equip students with the knowledge and understanding of the nature and importance of innovation, as well as the key drivers of digital transformation and its impact on their organisation and wider economy. Module 5: Personal Impact & Branding
This module’s central objective is to develop leaders who become role models for others by influencing positively at all levels and across diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders. Brands are hailed as the most valuable asset of an organisation, helping develop relationships with customers and wider ecosystem partners to ensure competitiveness and enhance the affiliated set of values that drive their reputation in a disruptive digital environment.
Module 6: Enterprise & Operations
Rapid population growth, urbanisation, inequality, scarcity of natural resources, climate change, or biodiversity loss are as much a concern for businesses as they are for governments. This course aims to ensure students have a firm grasp of the changing nature of the wider societal context within which their organisation operates. The link between entrepreneurship and innovation is explored to give students the opportunity to examine how they can implement ideas as ‘intra-preneurial’ ventures within their organisation. Work-based Project Phase
Students will undertake a strategic business challenge and use academically rigorous research methodologies to deliver actionable recommendations to the organisation. The aim is to further develop knowledge, synthesis, analysis and overall critical understanding of a range of strategic business disciplines, by allowing students to apply their learning to their organisation in an ever-changing real-world environment.
